MIUI is damaging xiaomi as a brand. Because of miui, they are not updating Android regularly. They have heating and battery issues in miui. They should switch to cyanogenmod or pure Android like Motorola.

Isn't there some legal complication with Xiaomi and MediaTek combination? If so then this phone can't be released with Helios X10. So what can be the alternative? Qualcomm 615 or 8xx series?

I am disappointed using redmi note, almost 1 year they didn't release kernel source code and stuck on kitkat. Dont buy xiaomi mediatek. Not only redmi note, but also redmi 1 basic.
But i am satisfied with redmi 1s... much more custom rom there.

I have used the Redmi 1s & Note last year, both great phones. It's Heart warming to know Note 2 prime is coming soon!! The Specs are decent and i would be quiet sure its price is going be more than just reasonable!!

Outside china, xiaomi treats their fanboys like a dump site for their smartphones. Meanwhile those at china may enjoy newer stuffs.
