Symbian 3 is the first fully open source version, I think they just got confused in their jargon. People need to to realise screen resolution almost becomes unnoticeable to the eye eventually, especially on a screen so small. Be interesting device as long as Nokia don't under power it which they are so commonly noted for doing (don't mention the N900 it's an exception). One thing I'll give Nokia, their camera performance is generally superior to other brands and only the occasional LG has come up trumps tbh.

the old obviously pulled out all the wrong info, so i wouldn't trust about resistive multi-touch. still very looking towards of resistive multi-touch. i want my phone to work in winter and in rainy weather.

360x640 at 3,5'' is perfectly enough. that means the dot pitch is just about 0,12 mm. HTC HD2 has 0,11mm. iPhone has 0,15mm

Nokia is coming with series 40 touchscreen handsets(dual sim baby) with novarra mobile browser & much more internet experience in s40 devices s40 mobiles are for developing nation why they need symbian^3 so s40 also is going to be rocks

Nokia would do itself a favour if it expanded its video codecs as well..The n96 had dedicated audio/video decoder chips but perhaps the newer symbian3 & 4 may have these extra codecs..

Have 3d gpu for gaming wide angle Len, xenon 5mp gps m... moreThe new fones will have a hardware 3d graphics accelaration unit of somekind its part of the new minimum spec..Thats why most of the new symbian stuff wont be backported due to this minimum hardware requirment..The only backported thing from the new symbian so far has been the kinetic scrolling..

When nokia do cameras they do them right and no-one can rush nokia to the market they go at their pace,,however its just cause nokia HAD to bring out a 12mp not because they wanted too they still want to concentrate at the 5mp mark with better algorithms and sensors and lenses..

360 x 640 screen? Seriously!? Maybe nokia should try entering the 21st century once in a while. All current Android phones currently has 480 x 800. Even more... This phone's pixel will be sooo noticeable for sure.

oh please the difference between an nHD screen and wVga is not that huge, and making the switch would have meant loosing compatibility with current available apps...
