mmj321, 12 Dec 2015The alternative universe is called 'sarcasm' No really it's such a plausible scenario, if Nokia switched when they were on top maybe they would be the number one Android smartphone maker instead of Samsung and actually have figured out a way to make crazy profit from their premium secure phones, they could've taken a big chunk of Apple's massive smartphone profit taking. Same thing with BB except to a lesser extent.

I would consider this phone but the whole going back to Android I don't care to do not yet not right now at least, really enjoying my BlackBerry Z30.

AnonD-455399, 11 Dec 2015They sold out the only 5 units they had. Sold out means nothing in selling number standards. ... moreWalmart has more brick & mortar stores than all of those companies. And it's possible a lot of them got it through some kind of phone or payment plan along with paying the full retail price.

Guess going with Android is paying off, they should've switched a long time ago, the Priv is a great phone that needs some improvements here and there which are mostly software fixable. Can't wait to see the Priv 2!

It is worth pointing out that there is a lot of goodwill towards BlackBerry and many consider Blackberry 10 to be a seriously efficient operating system. By moving into Android whilst retaining their security credentials BlackBerry should strengthen its position. It is important that the company considers launching devices in other segments of the market whilst also retaining BlackBerry 10 OS. By offering customers a choice the market can only benefit. Also, it is worth noting that many people actually appreciate the tactile feedback from a physical keyboard and BlackBerry are now the only major player to offer this option.

it's not surprising considering many people still love hardware keypad plus android versatility topped with blackberry services. That's how you define premium device.

Leo, 11 Dec 2015Here in Canada iPhone 6s 16gb costs $829!!! That's for a 2011 screen and 2013 camera lol. So true. These days, iPhones are just so old fashioned, under equipped and lack of personality. It's a totally 2nd tier phone.

                                      Best smartphone of 2015.
The price is in line with other devices with similar hardware and specs, but with the Priv, you also get a PKB slider option, Android security and a massive battery with a top end camera.
You also get Blackberry's software and business apps including the BB10 HUB etc.
