Actually he have a very interesting point that it would be great if the key 'print' were dynamic, say e-ink. That would have been great for those of us using more than a single language.
...Another point is that some national key-layouts use more than 10 keys...
After reading the author's negative comments it looks like this poll is a set up. However, I vote HOT. After the software update, the Priv is a going machine. BTW, the physical keyboard is not too small. It takes a little practice. Priv has a lot to offer with BlackBerry 10 features overlayed on Android. I am enjoying mine.
Yeah Hot but i'm getting cold because of its price..
q8peace, 13 Dec 2015well for me its not hot as the physical keyboard must be multi language i am Arabic and i know... moreEach country has it's language Mr.obvious
They can't make one with Arabic keyboard and forget the rest , if there is a version for Arab countries it would definitely have an arabic physical keypad
Eske Rahn, 13 Dec 2015It is a hard question!
To a large extent it is glowingly hot to me. Hardware QWERTY on an A... moreAgreed on all.
I'm voting HOT for that, because I hope this one makes an impact. Even if it doesn't set the trend, but at least make manufacturers see the market for it exists.
Once one does it and it catches enough attention, others can follow and improve, say, the smaller size (since you'll rely less on the screen size for typing), the "mini" versions, landscape sliders back, and all kind of stuff.
I'm definitely not buying (money... and possibly even availability, I could deal with it being huge maybe...), but that I liked this phone is a definitive yes. I do hope it stirs up the market. Way too tired of same old same old, new specs and thinner.
It is a hard question!
To a large extent it is glowingly hot to me. Hardware QWERTY on an Android device with somewhat tightened security - Just what I'm looking for!
On the other hand a combination of chipset and display resolution that seems odd. They should have stayed at FHD or used a more powerful chipset. An the form-factor is a bit odd. Too large for one hand operation for most people, and yet the keyboard in portrait with tiny keys rather than twice as wide keys had it been a landscape slider.
I really struggle to find a reason for the keyboard being in portrait - except a lot of lazy/incompetent app and OS-developers, that is to blame for poor or lacking implementation of landscape UI.
Where is the "super hot" button?
Its the best combination of hardware &.sofrware (including the qwerty) for the moment. Big up BB
It is a nice device. Even though it's not perfect, BlackBerry's first take at android is great...
Definitelty hot.
The industry need something not the same formula as always.
I'm tired of new phones that come (that is, WHEN they come) with a different form factor from the boring slab, it's usually some dumb "elderly phone" or cr*p like that.
New people as well, deserve something decent with a keyboard, and this one is not just decent but a powerhouse.
HOT, totally HOT. Hope it sells enough to make these other manufacturers bring back the non boring designs.
Thinner phones don't impress me anymore at all. And they DO look all the same. Just cause one has a little different back material doesn't make it that unique at all.
HOT, but a better CPU would make is smokin :D
Voted "Not". Not because device itself is bad, but because it's crazy expensive. Device is ok, but no way I would ever spend 800 USD to buy it.
Sure it's Hot...!
But price , its not...!
well for me its not hot as the physical keyboard must be multi language i am Arabic and i know English but sometimes i don't have to write in English so am going to go with virtual keyboard to write in any language 2- blackberry must have invent newer technology something like putting touchscreen under see through physical keyboard in each letter in this way you don't have to released only in USA and force people to wrote in English -3- curved display don't have many function so its kinda gimmick
im gonna say not
I would like to say something that is not related to the phone. GSMA could you please change the font for HOT or NOT. it looks like is 1999 all over again. try something new
Hot because of it being pivotal to BB and being their first shot. Software could have been better and priced slightly too high.
It is hot but only because it is visually appealing. The rest is history.
