TN display have the worst viewing angle. You need to put the screen parallel to your sight of view. Tilt it slightly and everything become discolor. Especially yellowing. Amoled have 180 degree viewing angle so it have great color reproduction. Zero viewing angle distortion. Infinite contrast.

It does not overheat, at least not that fast, but it has own down sides. Poor NFC support. It does not support Mifare Classic standard that most widely used in Europe. Qualcomm does support it. The only thing i like in SGS6 is its camera. Samsung Isocell is better than Sony.
And SGS6 also has poor 4G reception. Constantly loosing 4G signal even when it's good. At least 920F version. Check 4PDA defect thread. It's a very major problem.

I think it's just personal decision! The one who love black should choose amoled and those who love white should go for IPS.guys remember old IPS and just look at Sony Xperia Z5 Premium! It's the IPS magic. The 4K screen is breathtaking. Btw I think IPs are better due to pure white, lower cost, natural color,longer life time and reliable technology.

Further to say. Despite having AMOLED SGS6 has deep black only at direct angles. Tilt it a bit and screen turns gray because of poor reflection filters. This isn't AMOLED fault though. It's Samsung fault. Some other manufacturers that uses AMOLED doesn't have this issue because of much better screen assembly with much better filters. Like Meizu, for example.
In a dark room you don't see of course, but in other conditions it looks very cheap.

AMOLED is a very young screen technology. The S3 and S4 had a screen when they just started using AMOLED. That's why your comparison is just as awful as it is. Compare the screen of a Galaxy S6 Plus versus a iPhone 6 plus. Yep, the Galaxy S6 Plus wins it easily. Saying that's not true makes you very ignorant.
