I would never own an AMOLED phone because of its green tinted whites and screen burn-in feature. No thanks! LCD is best for my needs.

RejZoR, 12 Dec 2015SuperAMOLED is just superb. I've had one in Samsung Wave and second one in Galaxy S2 and they ... moreWell in S6 and N5 it's not that super. A giant number of defective displays with very poor TN-like viewing angles. Look at XDA. Just S6 has 100-page thread on this defect. And Samsung reject to replace them. They say TN-like display on premium device is ok.

AMOLEDs are 100% Samsung. It's Samsung brand name. LG has P-OLED. JDI doesn't have a name yet, but could be JOLED.

SuperAMOLED is just superb. I've had one in Samsung Wave and second one in Galaxy S2 and they are just amazing. Viewing angles, blacks, lower power consumption on dark images etc. I have a FullHD IPS in my Ascend P7 now and while it's a good display, it can't get close to SuperAMOLED. High viewing angles do change image brightness and that somewhat bothers me here and there.

using AMOLED since nokia c6-01. Love the saturated colors and deep inky blacks

My phone has a standard IPS LCD display and while it is still a solid display, the colors are a lot more dull than what I've seen on Super AMOLED displays. I hope AMOLED displays become the industry standard.
