AnonD-442781, 15 Dec 2015That's rich. Siri was useless and was only used for laughs until Google came along and made vo... moreOh please, all voice assistants before Siri were utterly useless. And FYI, Siri was a company that Apple acquired, which is using Nuance's natural language interface.

Guess what Samsung did 6 months after? They bought Vlingo, and are now also using Nuance to provide their S-Voice services.

Even if Apple's initial implementation proved to be basic, it now is one of the strongest performing personal assistants out there. And of course others followed suit.

You should perhaps learn a thing or two about product acquisition and product development.

Apple Pay has over 50 banks and CU's in the US alone, which is a crap load more than Samsung has right this minute. And if you believe the reports, they account for almost 70% of all in-store mobile payments in the US. Not bad eh?

Where Google Wallet failed, Apple broke through.

3D Touch is all about developers. I see more and more of my apps using, it and no doubt that by next year, more genius ways of using it will be enabled. Software in an agile way will improve with each iteration, so why do you expect everything to be perfect at the start? The idea counts, and people actively buying into it and using it.

So keep putting them down if you want, doesn't change anything about how they perform in reality.

Why is everyone so worked up on who got what tech first? In all honesty, it's pathetic. We shouldn't care what company got some tech first - we should care that the tech can be done. We shouldn't care what company copied what from who - we should care that the tech is made available to a wider base of consumers.

                        Bigger phones, phablets
                        One handed mode
                        Power saving mode
Notification bar (before iOS just had pop-ups for each thing as they came)
                        Stylus
Headphone jack, power button, etc, positioning
                        File manager
                        Widgets
                        Third-party keyboards and etc.

Basically all the changes they have made recently. List is probably bigger, and it will get bigger as Apple is still in the midst of copying. Maybe one day you will get other features like quick settings and night mode. Fingers crossed!

I said that if Apple did it first you would be here saying that Samsung copied Apple, but if Samsung is doing it first then you wouldn't. It's funny how you seem to be denying that you would do that. I also said it's the FEATURES that Apple copied for 3d touch, not the technology. If Samsung uses a different technology, and gives adequate features befitting force touch, them naturally they would be naming it something else.

AnonD-356282, 15 Dec 2015Again, that wasn't my point at all. It doesn't matter who had the technology FIRST. It matters... moreThat's rich. Siri was useless and was only used for laughs until Google came along and made voice assistants better. And then Apple copied.

Apple pay still hasn't taken off either, and it won't until it becomes a proper substitute for a wallet, it can't even be used in half the places anyway.

Nor has 3d touch. It's so limited in functionality you can jailbreak an older iphone and get the features to work with a swipe gesture instead.

But it's clear that what your speaking about is your own perspective as a fanboy. "Everyone copies Apple and everything that Apple does is a success the first time round"

I'm surprised you didn't bring up 64bit, it fits in with everything else you mentioned.
