As Hero users (and those on the Sprint network in specific) we all have our reasons for the 2.1 push. I also have mine but where I'm not looking for any particular app in general or a particular bug fix, my needs are a bit more basic. These are not android fixes for anything broken but just general day to day application like any other phone. These might even promote the creation of other apps that might have been created already had it not been for these basic fundamental functions being non-existant (to my knowledge:

      1. Bluetooth functionality. Not being a new technology this should have been addressed in full as even the dumbest of phones can do this and do it in style:

You can push a button and the phone responds with some message as in what would you like to do. You say a name and it calls the name if its in the phonebook. Samsungs do this, motorolas , and I bet other vendors that I'm not familiar with do it too. Smart phones should do that with equal grace if not better. Some phones were starting to even allow the call for an app to run while hands free. Example. there are a few speech to text sms programs out there that would benefit if they could pull their text from bluetooth.

Auto answer? what ever happened to that ? via bluetooth. You get a call your driving you hear a voice say the name of the person and it picks up after x amount of rings. Or an app that picks up and puts it on speaker...? This is more of a want than a need but would be nice.

Todays technology should be developed to improve user experience but lets not let the basic fundemental things fall to the wayside. In the long run its still a phone and should do phone type things..albeit in a more clever and efficient way.

      Just my two cents.
