The problem with Samsung devices is that they drop the prices very quickly within 3-4 months and by the end of the year if you want to sell your device the selling value is so low. In fact, 2 years old Samsung flagship selling cost is lower than 3 years old iPhone.
(2014) iPhone 6 64GB today - $705 from $975
(2015) Samsung S6 64GB - $628 from $870
(2014) Samsung S5 16GB - $330 from $657
One of the reasons I don't like to buy Samsung phones anymore. After a year selling value is poor and with poor updates.
AnonD-2349, 16 Dec 2015Thats the problem with samsung.. It doesnt create royalty feel for its flagships decreasing i... moreActually, samsung flagships lose value immediately. They discounted the s6 and note 5 not even one month after their respective releases...on top of giving out free accessories such as wireless charger, gift cards, etc as incentives. Also, the samsung brand sells so many cheap phones that buyers of high end phones dont feel any differentiation from the rest. as a real life example, ive seen someone with an A7, and as a geeky dude, even incouldnt tell if it was a galaxy s, note or some mid-low end samsung.

To be the very first person to have it? Well, thats the price you pay for being "First!". I wait for the price to drop and grab them at $400 or less. I got LG G2 when G3 came out, at a huge discount. Its a great device and I'm very happy with it, been so for 1.5 years, plan to keep using it. I want S6 for my wife, and the new price hits the sweet spot, similarly to some Meizu phones.
iphones will always be the phone for us royalties.
Anonymous, 16 Dec 2015SAMOLED screens do not suffer burn-in anymore. You are just a Samsung hater. True. The phones loose to fast in value. Iphones are expensive in the beginning but have a big resell value.

Thats the problem with samsung..
It doesnt create royalty feel for its flagships decreasing its pricies with each passage month
My 2 year old s4 which i bought for 900$ is selling for 150$ now while i can sell iphone 4 which is abt 6 years old is for 100$.
Apple never decreases its prices.
And even after 1 year, the decrease is of 100$
Samsung on other hand just wants sales..
And with each month it keeps on coming down..
Very bad marketing strategy as aftwr 1 to 2 years, their phones have no more value and i am talking abt flagships not other phones.
rip oneplus 2
To those who own S6 edge,
Did you guys notice when you press home button & go to home screen from any app, the status bar stays dark for a couple of seconds & slowly merges into the color of the wallpaper.
I feel this is slight screen burn in. I searched on XDA & there are numerous people with similar burn in issues. Does anyone here is getting the similar screen issue as mine?
Sun Of A Beach!! I just bought s6 for 699$!
