It's low quality made because of the plastic screen which can be strached in few days, camera is not good as you say and it doesn't have flash.
Also Touch Diamond 2 has very known screen problem (touch stops working within few months - reported on thousands of devices including mine too) and I would never recommend this phone to anyone.

It's (comparing to any older HTC device) made of high quality materials, stretch resistant touch screen made of glass...etc
I agree their earlier phones were not so good made. Camera on HD2 is OK if you take a picture on daylight, but in dark it's too bright...anyway it's a phone, not a camera.

I've never used any HTC
their hardware and software looks good
but I dislike their design..
I prefer samsung's design.. whish is more fashionable

Desire's camera isn't the best but it's ages ahead Iphone's JOKE.
Desire is my best phone so far.

... moreAdmitted there is some rubbish available but there are reviews on many apps so it doesn't take a genious to work out what is what. ass for the pricing yes a little confusing but i have not found an app in a week that i have needed or wanted to pay for. There are other apps for free that normally do the same as the paid for apps.
It's so cool and i am hooked checking the app market every day to see what exciting new free apps are coming

I switched to HTC Google Nexus One from my previous 5 (five) iPhones including a 3GS, and I would never look back to Apple ! I have proper notifications, proper camera, proper home screen widgets displaying what I am interested in, proper freedom to do what I want with the phone. I don't have to wait a year for fixes from Apple.
Android really became so good and helped HTC tremendously in achieving those sales figures.

The sportypal app alone is outstanding (If you walk, run or do any sports it's well worth a look). Well well happy with it and social intergration with twitter and facebook 1st class.

Just picked up my Desire. Best phone I've had by far and I've had a lot of phones. The camera is good enough (but not really comparable with the wife's Satio) but the interface and slickness is fantastic. Great job HTC.
