Congrats to Blackberry. Welcome to Android world where we have more useless apps than the useless human in the world. Just kidding. Android is great. Really. Love it. Happy to know that most apps are free unlike Apple App Store. Blackberry need to install one more thing in their device; fingerprint scanner. How hard could it be. Just put it at the back like everyone else. Beside, I read that fingerprint scanner price has drop significantly and only cost $5 for one of it.

Eske Rahn, 19 Dec 2015uhh the statement "I've said that if we cannot make money we're going to get out of the phone... moreIf they stop producing hardware, they will support the phone till EOL. Generally that means 2 years. Plus it is Android so it won't stop working overnight. Many Android OEMS are still leaving their older hardware outdated at 4.2 or Kitkat. They expect people to buy new hardware each year.

Please read carefully, actually Blackberry sold less devices in the last quarter, 700000, versus 800000 in the previous quarter, but just at a higher price. The recovery came from multiple sources, not necessarily from smartphone sales.

The Blackberry Priv will have to be heavily discounted in order to make an actual positive impact. If they keep the current price the sales will decline even more.

Maybe the low brow people on GSMArena didn't know that BBRY is more than a handset company, with its operating system powering 2/3rds of new cars sold and 80% of medical devices. BlackBerry has done very well this year and is even in the business of buying other companies. Glad to see some positive news coming in the handset division.
