Palm should not fall.. in any cost they have to come back and compete
I would love to see HTC walk away with the deal... They are amazing when it comes to smart phone and innovation....
I love palm don't let it fall into the hands of the greedy chinese.
treos, palm pilots rule.
This is sad because Palm has really good smartphones on the market. I am in Costa Rica and I have the unlocked Treo Pro working fine on the 3G network and I love it, the thing is that people like very easy to use phones and Palm phones require a little thinking and probably that is what people do not like to do.
I (used to) big fan of palm. They made great phones. Too bad it comes to this way. Good luck. I would buy last palm OS phone as souvenir. :)
Please don't, you guys can do it. common palm turnaround the table.
i really want this to happen.
Anonymous, 12 Apr 2010i rly hope htc buys palm. the patents list could help them in court against apple. Is that because without Palm's patents HTC don't have a leg to stand on?
3 companies;HTC,Lenovo and Cisco (yeah you read that right...CISCO) made it to the 2nd round of the bids according to an analyst site.
Finally Palm... :(
i rly hope htc buys palm. the patents list could help them in court against apple.
rip palm..
good for htc for fast growth.
cheers for HTC. continuously growing.
Terrible news for Palm. All the best for the Palm employees!
well i bet thats due to the real success of the palm pre launch. Maybe o2 shouldnt have got the exclusive on it LOL. Dont by it there is a reason why its up for sale.
One word... Palm = Scuks...
This is expected, PALM strategy sucks! Palm Pre supposed to save Palm from sinking but never release to Europe and Asia... GOOD FOR YOU Palm! Learn your lesson... SE be warned, you will soon suffer the same fate! ha ha ha!
Niraj, 12 Apr 2010Nokia has enough money, they can easily buy palm...You can't just go around buying stuff because it's "easy" and you have money.
This business is about making profit, looking at good investments and building image.
It's not Monopoly board game.
Nokia has enough money, they can easily buy palm...
According to the recent reports in Bloomberg, Palm has enlisted the help of Goldman Sachs and Frank Quattrone's Qatalyst Partners to help the company place it self in a profitable sale.
Nokia was gonna buy Palm end of last year but backed out at the last second, i think it was because of Palms unrealistic valuation of the company.
I think Palm has taken a good look at themselves and the new valuation seems alot lower.
it will be interesting if Nokia is gonna come back for the second round.
