With chatbots, just like youtube forcing google+, the app will give the impression that a lot of people are using it..

Just what Google needs in the messaging department - more confusion of what app to use - not!
I use Hangouts regularly - it works just fine. Why don't they just concentrate their efforts on refining their existing software instead of removing features (sms recently) & creating other alternatives. It's confusing enough!
I hate to admit this, but they need a large dose of 'Steve Jobs mentality' in the messaging department.

And the same with social sites/chats:
"You got chat app? EVERYONE GONNA HAVE THEIR OWN CHAT APP!"

Like google didnt learn from google+ that people even forced, not gonna use something that they already have...
