It's the best phone I have e... moreGalaxy alpha is probably better. Not unnecessarily big resolution so less need of hardware. Very good camera almost as good in HDR/Day capture.
But most importantly one handed use *and* replaceable battery, both of which are what differentiates a good phone from a mediocre phone (portability and ergonomy are the most important specs of a phone, everything else is secondary).

I have been using Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge from the day of launch.
It's the best phone I have ever used. The only phone that came close to this one was HTC One M7.
I still feel proud that I bought it on the launch day and the grand launch in Mumbai, India.

Personally I think LG G4 or Moto X Style or even LG V 10 deserved it more. Galaxy S6 isn't a bad phone but the above 3 are just better.

I owned the Phone of the year 2015 for a short while. I returned it after a couple of weeks when the OIS motor in the camera failed.
