I received the 6.0.1 update this morning and did it..it went pretty well..I should say that Google has done lot of improvements to the platform in this update,camera is lot better,the doze mode functionality is improved,RAM usage is also decreased and also other bugs like phone didn't wake up after pressing the power key,or etc have been fixed in this update..I should say here,though,that this update is rolling out in patches,I.e it will take up to a month for full rollout ..so don't panic,and keep checking for system updates each morning..update is coming..and the false rumours like Motorola won't update to 6.0.1 and would directly update to 7.0 are false and misleading. Please don't fall for them,as 7.0 hasn't even launched yet..its going to launch somewhere near December.

But u should know that..this time moto g 3 is running on 6.0 and it will be directly updated to 7.0 means Android N....Motorola always do like this such as moto g 2 was launched on KitKat 4.4.2 but latest KitKat was 4.4.4 so it directly got update to lollipop 5.0 and then directly to 6.0 and now it will be directly to Android 7.0 Android N.....

Does anyone know if Moto G will support gujarati fonts and keyboard? i want to buy it for my mom, but I cant buy it unless someone confirms. I have a moto G 1st generation with lollypop version 5.0.1 and it does not have native gujarati language support.

I've the same problem as others here, until the update Moto 3 was great now it is absolutely crap, slow, screens take forever to open, and can someone tell me after an app update I can return them to external sd card, this has now disappeared from apps and is killing my phone memory, hence the reason for it slowing down.
