I am using Moto G 3rd Gen, After updating to marshmallow 6.0, Torch is not operating after updating. Kindly fix the probelm.
Updated my Moto G3 (lollipop 5.1.1) to marshmallow 6.0 yesterday.
1.Backed up all my apps by es file manager to elsewhere
2.Backed all important data in internal to elsewhere.
3.Removed external microsd.
4.Downloaded the 456 MB update which took 4.08GB of internal memory upon installations.
Problems after marshmallow upgrade:
1.Inserted the 32GB sandisk ultra microsd full of data (29GB). Upon power off and on it asked to choose between
a)Format as extended internal SD erasing all data and encrypted unreadable in other devices, card readers etc ..or
b)Recognise as a portable memory device...so I chose ( b) due to all existing data.
Failed to open the card or the data thereafter....it was still doing fine in other devices.
2.USB OTG connected pen drive was recognised but could not access the drive or data.
3. Battery backup was terrible.
4.Overall brightness including video playback brightness became very low.
5. Device heated up in about 30 min use, both screen and area around the camera on the back.
Some Solutions that worked:
1. Google Searched for hard/factory reset of Moto G3 and followed the guide. Once inside recovery mode, formatted the internal drive, wiped app catche, personal settings etc.
2.After reboot installed needed wifi connection to enter google account info. You cannot access the phone without setting up your Google account info in Moto G3 marshmallow.
3.Changed all sound notifications other than media, call ringtone and media to mute.
4.Keyboard touch tones and vibrations muted from language and input setting.
5.Installed es file explorer. Accessed USB OTG pendrive and from left slide in tab.
6. After hard reset, phone was able to open the 32GB microsd.
7. Battery life increased by abt 20% to 8 hrs on 2G continuous download 3hr screen on, still abt 1hr30min less than what I was getting on Lollipop.
8.System and apps seem faster.
9.Data connection and download speeds 25 to 30% slower.
Loss for Unlimited download night packs.
10.MX player and VLC still considerably dim. Problem partially solved by turning off Adaptive Brightness from display setting and ramping full brightness from notification dropfown during video playback. Uses a lot of Battery.
11. Keyboard copy paste icons are gone. Worse in portrait view copy paste, Better in landscape mode Google keyboard.
12. Opera Max for data saving worked great in lollipop, not so great in marshmallow. Slowing down 2g 3g connection.
Overall response...MOTO G3 UPGRADE to ANDROID 6.0 Marshmallow IS NOT WORTH IT. It brings in many more issues than it solves. Marshmallow for MotoG3 considerably RUINS the ANDROID experience.
Hope these will help some.

Hi everyone!
I too was unable earlier to access files from my moto G3 internal storage. But, now the process of accessing has little bit changed. Whenever you connect ur phone to computer, check notification area in phone. It asks for options of 'use usb for': like charging only, transfer files (MTP), Transfer photos (PTP) and MIDI. Select option of your choice.
Cheers.

smileMonk, 03 Feb 2016Before the update, I used to be able to browse the contents of my Moto G3's internal memory vi... moreYou must explicitly tell the system that you want data access after pluggin in the usb cable. To do so hit the "Charging" notification you see on screen and choose "MTP"
