Premium phone - mi
Premium phablet-mi note
Budget phone - redmi
Budget phablet-redmi note
Year wise release helps to create more hype eg. See Sony and apple
Also better to have only one branding and release for Flagship phone as well as phablet i.e mi and mi plus just like apple. Samsung also learnt that.
Good product strategy is necessary for success of a product. Just like HTC screwed up its own success by confused naming system.

Lilian, 26 Dec 2015TFT display? This already sounds bad.TFT means thin film transistor which can be any TN, any IPS, or any VA panel. TFT doesn't mean anything. TFT is basically the same as LCD, doesn't tell you anything at all about the display.

Everbody wants a budget smartphone with premium quality like Samsung ... morei agree mi3 was much more value for money and support and after sales of tier 1 companies is brilliant but j5 is a crap device...only superamoled screen doesn't make the spec sheet complete....no auto brightness sensor,720p screen,1.5gb ram are the downsides but as i said the awesome after sales service keeps samsung one step ahead but the overall experience with a low end samsung device is pathetic unlike samsung flagships. companies like xiaomi and one plus needs to improve after sales and everything else is perfect.

Another Crab by Xiaomi! Everbody wants a budget smartphone with premium quality like Samsung , Apple. I'm just talking about the quality like camera quality screen quality like Super Amoled by Samsung. Even galaxy j5 screen looks far better than Xiaomi Mi4. And nowdays , Xiaomi 's smartphones are not value for money like Mi 3 at that time. So I don't like at all!!
