You can check the full specs here on nokia-India website or the nokia UK website.- http://www.nokia.co.in/find-products/products/nokia-n8/specifications But none of the websites tell the date n8 should be expected to come out.

Finally there is a camera which can make my pocket Pentax redundant. F2.8 aperture and large format chip is a rare even in "real" cameras. I wouldn't underestimate also HDMI connector, which will make this a real killer in entertainment gadget class.
Symbian is different than IPhone OS. NOT necessarily as cool in some perspective, but anyhow more mature in really important things as energy saving and multitasking.

This is all Nokia. Announce... moreNokia haven't announced ANYTHING, it's the websites that keep coming with dates of the release of a phone they don't even know exists.
As for Apple, there are plenty of rumors about the new iPhone and there have been such rumors since last year.
Nokia announces their most important flagship on September and that's when people should expect it.

Has Nokia said anything about "N8"? Where? What did they say about it?

How can Nokia be late when they haven't even told about the device let alone when it will be available.

How can you say it's delayed or that there is a long time between the release and launch - No N8 has been released.

same old nokia - announce it early to try and stop people signing up to a different provider, then the date slips and slips - N8 being banded about coincidentally around the same time as a potential new iphone is being discussed - when the N8 reachess market it'll be too late and out of date like N96 and N85!

This is all Nokia. Announce early, delay now, release almost never. And incomplete/bugged.
What I can't understand is why they keep this horrible marketing. At least you gotta give kudos to the fruit brand... they just release the d@mn thing when it's ready and that's it! :-)

no n8-00 yet? then no nokia buys for me in the meantime. i'll go for SE xperia x10, then samsung i9000 galaxy s. if i'll be satisfied by these phones, then goodbye nokia for me.

One of the administrator of symbian-freak.com site posted that N8 will be announced next week by Monday or Tuesday. I really hope to hear something from Nokia next week and N8 to release end of May.
if Evo4G gets the gsm variant and release before nokia announce n8 or meego. im moving!! im holding my upgrade for 15 days now and counting! my hand is itching for a new toy!!
Cmon Nokia drop that hammer again! just like the N95!

why not simply kill the N8? Afterall, fans of the almighty brand said C6/C3/E5 would do the job to astisfy the needs of the target (mid/low end) customers...
and let HTC/Apple/Samsung/Motorola to handle the high end customers.
