AnonD-296885, 28 Dec 2015Sure in real life it will be better than Adreno as it always has been before.Not anymore, Adreno 530 is going to be better all-rounder, they improved all the bottlenecks from previous generations like vertex processing.

      I can guess that exynos will be best for battery saving as samsung leads with best batt lasting times.

        The GPU benchmark scores are likely taken from GFXBench Manhattan 3.0 offscreen results. This is very significant in that the scores put the Exynos 8890 within spitting distance of the Tegra X1 found in the Google Pixel C tablet! Considering that this is achieved in a smartphone form-factor, this is astonishing.

        The Mali's Tile Based Renderer (TBR) also has the advantage of ultra-low-cost Anti Aliasing (4x/8x/16x MSAA), and ultra-low-cost deferred rendering (Shader Pixel Local Storage). When these facilities are used, the Exynos 8890 should leave the Adreno 530 and the Tegra K1/X1 in the dust.

          lol, 28 Dec 2015Why is Adreno worse in real life?I don't know why but it just is. The conclusion is based in experimental Gamebench measurements of unthrottled several Exynos and Snapdragon devices.

              I wouldn't be surprised if the speculated system-in-package modem had similar power consumption compared with one integrated on the AP. I'm also glad that Samsung is breaking ground with a consumer-forward SiP AP including hardware outside of DRAM. Such technology will shrink the size of the motherboard and reduce weight. This may allow for larger battery in a yet smaller form factor.

                Let's declare the A9 the king of dual-core, the Snapdragon the king of quad-core, the Exynos the king of octa-core, and the Helio the king of deca-core.
                Everybody's happy.
                Cheers =)

                          But don't forget the 8890 doesn't have an integrated modem like the Snapdragon 820, which means it'll use more power.
