      Still worse than 2014's.

Barely better CPU (it's the same big.little but 14nm based instead of 20nm based). Barely better camera (Note 4's camera was great already).

FAR worse battery (no spares, no charging the spare while using the main battery). FAR worse storage (no microSD).

Only a fool would buy a Note 5 over Note 4.

Note 5 is the original and the best. Still also use the awesome Note II.

Even though most reviewers think Nexus 6p to be better than Note 5 as a phone, but Note 5 has better advantage as a phablet due to the stylus optimized features and split screen use.

Then again this is a fan based voting results. So definitely Note 5 was expected to win because Note 5 is widely available and little older than Nexus 6P (so ordinary people are unaware) even if it didn't have the above said advantages.

nexus 6p has good enthusiast support considering who made it. I myself is a huawei fan(honor 7 made me a fan) but voted for note 5 as I feel it deserves to be #1. sony has a huge fan base they will vote without looking anything. that's why this 12% has more value than sony's 15%. actually huawei is in second spot. well done huawei

I would still choose the Z5 Premium. Why?
                    WATERPROOF
SD Card (200Gb Class 10 SD Card)
                    4K Display
                    Bigger Battery
                    No Touchwiz interface (sux)
                    Vanila Android
                    Removable bloatware
                    Fastest updates
                    Better design (my opinion)
Lately, Samsung prooves they dont care about their customers. They just want to take apple's customers.

Samsung was the obvious winner this year with rivals having either an underpowered or defective processor.
The overall(including phones and notes) biggest winner had to be the Oneplus x,it is the clear winner and would have been the top seller this year if only not for its invite system(maybe oneplus does not have the production capacity).

note series has always been the king of phablets.
                        No suprise here.
Although there were quite a few competitors who came close

Also same size display. However, it is not usable on LTE in the US so not many voters who read GSM Arena would vote for it, relatively speaking. However, I just ordered this phone and am keen to try it as we have Band 7 with 3 carriers in Canada.

The camera thing, not so much. Megapixel doesn't define a good camera anymore. The aperture is important too. 21mp on Meizu Pro 5 with f/2.2 vs the Note5 16mp f/1.9? Note5 is an obvious winner there. Meizu no fingerprint sensor, just LTE Cat6, old gorilla glass 3, no usb host, no bluetooth v4.2, most importantly it is using just a normal Amoled display that is also only FullHD. You still having doubt?
