Have you heard of code optimization? Apple iPhone the defecto of mobile uses 1 GB RAM and dual core CPU. Yet it processes every app installed on it and runs smoothly. I am using Lumia 640 that has Quad core 1.2 GHz processor with 1 GB RAM and I still have not seen any app lagging. I have created photo stories on same phone. I have clicked better photos on my phone then my previous Nexus 4. Unfortunately Android do need lot of RAM & processing, it runs on java!

im wonder how win fans r blind to facts.yes win os is smooth and dont need flag ship cpu to run but beside os there r lots of option like camera and image processing .... weak cpu and 1gb ram are limited and slow to take slow-motion, fast motion shots.. panomera, hdr, 2k , 4k videos.... games................................. at ms mobiles prices u can have lots of good mobile in andriod and ios .......wake up ppl ask MS for better hardwares

Without the apps in today's smartphone world you are as good as dead, if it wasn't for WP being owned by Microsoft "who have money to burn", WP would have been dead a long time ago.

Wp works smoother slicker faster than other o's.It doesn't need high specs and screen is always sharper.Wp needs a compact 950 & hopefully gets the apps on wp10

There are milions of such stupid 5" screen, +/- 140 mm height contraptions, lacking ergonomics, stupid big for a phone, and stupid small for a tablet.
Any screen smaller then 17 " is too small, so there is no objective reason for compromising phone ergonomy.
4.5, 4.6, 4.7" screen @ maximum of 127mm case height is the sane upper limit for a smartphone.
You don't even need to go as far as Sharp (very nice 4.7" @ 126mm height, and 5"@ 130mm height).
Sony Z3 Compact 4.6" @ 127mm is good already size wise.
That and some quad CPU @ 1,7 Ghz, Adreno 418 or similar, both undervolted and underclocked some 11%, 2 GB RAM ( 1 was OK in 2015 ), minimum 16 GB internal memory, fast mSD card suport, 720X1280 screen - good enough for current affordable GPUs, dual stage AF shutter button.
Sure, if it's possible, would be nice some bigger camera sensor, 10-12 MP no more, 24-90 @ f 2 zoom, white sample custom WB, etc., but first thing first is a sane smartphone case size !

I like Windows phone., I think 1) Microsoft has to optimize the os asap. Its still unfinished. 2) The pricings are way out of the line. The only reason why I want to stick with lumia is for the lumia apps and carl zeiss lens., But now I think I will wait for Nokia's come back and buy nokia mobile with windows instead of lumia.
Buck up Microsoft we really want to buy your phones so plz don't make us shy away from Lumia
