It must be awful to have to worry about if you can afford something or not. Luckily, I, along with Apple, are American and pretty much get what we want.

So your case is not applied to small people like me (which is plenty on my country). I've seen more people using iPhone 5 or 5S instead of 6/6+ despite 6/6+ already available nearly a year.
Anyway, 5C was deemed as failure not because of it's 4" screen. 5S was well received despite it has 4" screen. 5C was deemed as failure because of those plastic thing. That's why 7C (or 6C, whatever) designed using 5S design language. Admit it or not, Apple still associated with social status. Mid class people will buy 7C because it is Apple, and affordable to them. I personally won't buy any Apple products because of their prices are way above my budget.

Apple does not know the technology.. !! Nowadays smart phone industry is running so fast with new features while Apple technology is improving slowly. i.e. Huawei P8 and Sony xperia Z5.. Think about thise phones and these are two the smart phones which beat all smart phones in the market at present. Most of them like to spend money on the "name" (Apple) but not for the technology..

BTW, Apple is able to design SoCs that don't need huge batteries to last a day. It's very sad that Android users are accustomed to have 2500-3000 mAh batteries to reach the same level Apple's iPhone can reach with a 1800 mAh battery.

The iPhone 5C was a fiasco ? Indeed .... and it sold more than the "fantastic" Samsung Galaxy S5 in USA. A lot of companies would like to have "fiascos" like that... lol

Apple thinks only of a profit not the care of the customers. They intentionally make small power capacity battery so that customers will buy another power storage from their company and means another income. This updates of their software can disable some of their old phones so that if one is apple fanatic, then he will be forced to buy new one....new income again.

I think the "new" 4 inch iPhone 7c that might be launched in April 2016 will be 100% similar to 6th Gen iPod Touch. It will just have Call/Text Message ability and Touch ID. Rest all technical specs and features will be similar to iPod Touch.

Can you play Asphalt8 decently on a 4" display? My huge thumbs probably cover half the screen. The super small battery, couldn't even make it through the day. But, in their defense this is iphone 7C. Excusable. However, with $500 price tag, forget it. Even 5C is thrown out the drain by harsh reviews.
