It's why they're updating most of the last gen phones alongside the current. Note 3 is old dude just gotta face reality.

After that, original software updates from manufacturer will cease. How can you expect a company to support their old phones longer than 2 years?
Or if you really want a taste of Marshmallow, Custom ROMs are your only option.
