Hopping , 04 Jan 2016How about sony xperia z? -.-I´ve read that Sony will update smartphones like the Sony Xperia Z2 and newer models to Android Marshmallow. The models before the Xperia Z2´s release will get stuck on Android 5.1.1.

No, the LG G2 will receive the Marshmallow update for sure during this Q1, but it seems the article´s editor has forgotten about it. Once LG has finished the Android 6.0 update´s deployment for the LG G3 (1st phase), the G2 will be the next (2nd phase).

WTF no LG G2 Marshmallow update...... lets hope CM13 will do its best to keep this beast alive for a long time. Next phone will be definitely a Nexus device.

You buy some hi-end android pho... moreYour an android supporter and with good reason. There is no denying that iPhone has good hardware. But that is not all. iPhone comes at a steeper price. For a cheaper cost you can get a newer android phone with better specs. So if you're not doing too well on cash, then android is the way to go. If you do have bucks to spend, there are high end phones with much better specs than the iPhone. And so many to choose from. YAY.
Price and specs aside. The software for iPhone is limited. When I say limited, I dont mean there is more in the android playstore. Loading unofficial firmware- rooting- an android is pretty simple. Oh the joys of having power to install and change. If I wanted, I could download any apk off some link in google. I am not bound to the play store. I am running roms and playing nintendo and ps games on my tablet. I am overclocking my cpu. well, I was until i got my new baby. z4 tablet.
If you are just looking for a brick that looks good with a logo, by all means, go for iPhone. Lets you do all the basics. But if thats all you're after, then you couldnt be bothered with new updates, they wont make your life any easier. Just a new thing to learn or get used to while trying to live your life.
I am not excited to get android 6. There is nothing new in there that I dont already have. Remember, mobile providers do all sorts of altering to android before loading it to their phones. Its those alterations that Google has decided to make standard. So nothing really new. Just standardized.
I heard some talk of phines overheating or running out of ram. Ive heard that android has had a few problems. but thats not really true. I've NEVER had any problem like that before. EVER! Remember what I said. So many options to choose from. Its up to the provider to do some alterations to the stock android so it can work better on the phones they have created. There are some lovely phones out there. Dedicated to under water sea, fishing, hiking, children, poor, big, small, .... You name it, android is for the people. iPhone is for the sheep.

It's draining my battery big time (Nvidia Shield K1).
Don't know if it's a Shield thing or an Android 6 bug.
Anyway, if you have a Shield K1, I'd recommend you wait with the update.
