My G3 has been running buttersmooth since i took off all the things i wasn't using - splitscreen (i use it sometimes but can easily switch it on and off), motion gestures, developer options off, etc...and cleared of cache and unnecessary apps.
Unless you are using those things, I would recommend switching them off because it will improve performance and most importantly, it will give it a 15-20% battery boost as well.
That being said, i hope Marshmallow will make it even better! Hope the G5 will fix all the very few remaining problems...
