download first your firmware by replacing XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX with your phone's IMEI in the below link: (dial *#06# to know your phone's IMEI).
http://csmg.lgmobile.com :9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
then you will see link to download your phone's latest firmware. It is between 2 "(sw_url)"s. Copy that link & paste to your browser's address bar. After the download is complete, upgrade using LGUP. Refurbish is clean install. Upgrade will retain all your files/data.

Thanks for the link, I tried updating the phone using this tool, still having the same problem. It showed me I have the D85521A Version, and that there is an update. after the full download and installation (it all ran good and shows that it completed after phone restarted) but the phone still shows D85521A and when it reconnects so the update tool it all starts from scratch..
Any ideas?

I am getting the d85530a update on ... moreUpdate using LG Mobile Support Tool. It will be the same as PC Suite but whenever you got disconnected, it will just resume the downloading of firmware when you reconnect. In PC Suite, it will re-download from the start. PC Suite is advisable only if you have stable internet connection.

Hi all, i have the G3 D855 - running stock, never rooted)
I am getting the d85530a update on my LG PC suite, but after updating is compleated (took me about an 1.5h to compleat all 3 updates) - my phone restated and nothing actucally changed. the next time i plugged it in again - it showed me that im still running android 5.0 and once again i got notified about the d85530a update..
What should I do?

The G3 certainly took its time, and I still had to update my d855 manually to get it. worth the 10 minutes to upgrade from 5.1 though.

All the g3 model will be update 6.0 butg g3 d855 cannot move the latest software what is reason? That will be show 5.0 is latest version.

I guess, update on G3 is a tricky affair.
