AnonD-518317, 02 Apr 2016Im asking you that does yr laptop as Windows 10 as operating system or does it have Windows 7 ... moreI have manually installed kitkat (tot file), lollipop (kdz file), marshmallow (kdz file) on my G3 using LGUP. It's so easy, just like chicken feeding. No need to make the phone in download mode, etc, etc. The software will do it for you. Oh & I am using Windows 10 Laptop.
Try to seach for LGUP software in the internet, using any search engine, not necessarily google (LOL!) & do it yourself, if you want. REFURBISH will completely wipe out all your data on the phone even those apps you installed; UPGRADE will keep all your data intact. It will only take almost 5 minutes. Just install LGUP & some drivers, connect your G3, run the software then locate the firmware you download, then start, then wait, & then..enjoy!!!

LG Flash tool with have two options "Normal Flash" & "CSE Flash", Normal flash will keep you data intact & CSE Flash is like a new installation all data on internal data will be lost.
I have manually updated my LG G3 to Android MM way back in Feb 2016 and running on MM for past two months with out any issue, however i have not received any further updated like security patches or MM 6.0.1 etc hence i visited LG Service center then informed me upon testing that the KDZ is official KDZ of LG and i will receive OTA updated as an when they are released.

i am rather confused due to this ! sticking to android 5.0.2 fr the time being is better i guess...will wait fr official release of android marshmallow for G3 in India may that happen via PC suite/OTA !

Just updated my lg g3 d855 in UK to android 6.0
Done using lg mobile tool
One thing i noticed is that the lock screen effect options such as retro mode e.t.c have been removed and that you only have one standard one, fade out.

he can also use other search engines like bing or yahoo if he may want, not just google. LOL!
