DaNzWoRLD, 14 Mar 2016http://www.gottabemobile.com/2016/02/17/lg-g4-android-6-0-update-problems-fixes/ When I bought my G3,had and still has 5.0.. I don't have big issues with this OS,but still I believe my phone can perform better and faster! On my old G2 mini,I had kikat,no problems with it,great OS! But after 5.0.1.. A while was great, but after 3 or 4 months the problems appeared. A friend has an M8,after 6.0 he has only gret stuff to say. And if 6.0 on my G3 goes wrong I have warranty or the root option. I see that you prefer kit Kat,but it's kind off old.. Like runing xp when out there is w7.
All what i can say is, whichever the version u gets when u buy the phone will always be the best. if u buy a new phone with inbuilt android 6.0 or 5.0, these phones have lesser issues than a older phone getting newer android updates. its my opinion.... its like a medicine tablet, cure is there for some problems but side effect comes along with it.....

i was planning to buy the new G5, but to be frank, i didnt liked the looks of it....my G3 is still looking solid.... but new innovations r good, but atleast in the next edition, modules should be replaced without switching it off completely.....LG should be one step ahead when releasing their best phones....like if g3 is 3 gb ram, g4 should be 4gb ram ,and g5 should be 5 gb like dat.....then people will expect more each time....so if g3 had 13 mega pixel, g4 is 16 mp which is good ,so g5 should be atleast 20 mp.... which didnt happen.... and then the battery....we need something more always..... and atleast for g6 please change the volume key to rear itself....

Here is how i did, down arrow+power button-- press hard.... release when logo comes....again press both buttons back for few more seconds until reset menu appears.....proceed with the steps....uncheck the option for software update during the steps.....finally if u r lucky enough, u may get it.... now my phone is not getting heated up any more, even while playing games.... once u get it... never update anymore.....

For several times, i did hard reset my phone but it did not return back to kitkat. i bought my phone may 2014 the 1st few days it was available in qatar with kitkat preinstalled.
so i doubt your claim that your phone returns back to kitkat when you did a hard reset.
today its 14th of March....... 2016
where are you Marshamallow for ym LG g3 D855..... ? >_< :'(
Still no available in Saudi arabia.... :'(
If I update my D855 manually,it's still the original update? Or not and I'll lose my warranty?
When i bought MY G3 in 2014, it was just perfect. No issues. But when the lollipop update came, lot of issues started like battery heat problem, getting switched off frequently. And i was suffering a lot. When i get the news that the marshmallow update started rolling, i was again exited. that was the time i thought i will try to update through lg pc suite. when i finished updating through pc suite, my phone started rebooting again and again , and it never stopped. Finally i made a hard reset and luckily i got the old kitkat version back. I am so happy with it now, and i dont need anymore upgrade. my battery life increased and its never getting hot.
Abhiram12, 14 Mar 2016still OTA unavailabale for g3Yup nothing here in England as well.
So we already know that the Marshmallow update is coming to the LG G3 and LG G4 in other countries. AT&T and Verizon users of the G4 are still waiting for the update, but Canadian mobile carrier TELUS has provided a suggestive update recently that sheds some light on the matter. The carrier updated its roadmap for the Android Marshmallow release, and the list included the LG G3 and G4. The LG G3 will get the update by mid-March (March 14th), while the LG G4 will get it by 1st February. (Update report for LG G3 at bottom)
Its 14th March and I still don't have mashmallow update for lg g3 in india
