No LG don't reduce the battery mAh. If they do I'll either keep my LG G3 or switch over to Samsung. Sigh...
most useless feature if it is on the top like V10 .... place it at bottom or side to get full advantage of it
ithehappy, 31 Dec 2015Astoundingly excellent LG. Looking forward to it, not.Sorry but this isn't one of Samsung phones you love so much.
Chen, 31 Dec 2015If Marshmallow's 'Doze' works as advertised, then OEMs dont need to have a phone with 3000+mAh... moreNo one so far can confirm that since it's buggy/not working on 6.0. Only people who will see a difference are those who had bad experience with lollipop update from kitkat (so that it returns to previous levels actually).
Anonymous, 31 Dec 2015The battery could use a bit more capacity. 3GB of RAM is more than enough - the Nexus phones a... moreBattery isn't great on G3/G4 so they have to use a bigger one for G5. That's why i sold my G3.
But on the ram side, Nexus are just basic phones with google coding and optimizing their OS for them for 2 years, let's not forget it instead of pointing "Nexus this, Nexus that" each time.
Any other phone (with advanced set of manufacturers apps and better hardware feats) should get more ram to handle more things or processes easily and to get more future proof (apps tend to get bigger overtime and so Android versions). Even that 32gb storage (probably 23/25gb real) looks a bit light nowadays, but should be ok if it's possible to use a fast microsd as defaut apps storage.
AnonD-155275, 31 Dec 2015No company will give you that .. They are going to kill their future .. No one is going to buy... moreYou clearly know nothing. Huawei mate series have been selling extremely well, given that their battery is +4000mah. The latest Mate 8? Selling like hotcakes (if you dont believe me, check online to see how much they're marked up..some even sold out). The users are not stupid when they shell out $500-600 for a phone, they know what they want and so far only the Chinese manufacturers are getting that.
Chen, 31 Dec 2015If Marshmallow's 'Doze' works as advertised, then OEMs dont need to have a phone with 3000+mAh... moreYou can't rely on software for everything. Doze has been known to be a bust on the 6P so it doesn't look like it's 100% effective.
You know what helps to improve battery life? Having a big battery and a more efficient SoC...both of which are not software based.
2800 maH?
If Marshmallow's 'Doze' works as advertised, then OEMs dont need to have a phone with 3000+mAh battery.
Can anyone confirm that their Android phone on Android 6.0 has a better battery life?
Noel, 31 Dec 2015WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! LG....that rumored 2800mAh battery and 3GB RAM will be a sure SALES... moreTake a look at Huawei.
I'm done with LG/samsung/Sony/etc. You can take away functions, but don't fk with screen size and battery capacity. That's why they're all dying slowly.
Deko, 31 Dec 2015If g5 will come with a 2800 battery when g6 will be release it will come with 2600battery???Wa... morehahaha dont worry thought... first these are only rumors nothing is sure.... second wht do u think that LG will put 2800 mAh battery while on G4 and G3 was 3000?? hmm i dont think so... yes right battery life is very improtant but belive me if they even out the 2800 mAh one they will plan it in ever possible direction and it will have great experience on battery life.. there is a reason why companies launches other generations and the most reason is for e better verizon not making things worse... so nothing written in paper will work exately like it looks....
Bad bad bad choices....Im really disappointed..Not because of secondary screen, but all other things sucks.
AnonD-67564, 31 Dec 2015I hope that they have reduced the capacity of that phone for a reason, or even better I hope t... moreThe Snapdragon 820 is built on a 14nm/16nm FinFET process. This means it will be very energy efficient. The 2800mah battery may prove sufficient.
would apple or samsung out such battery I would understand, but lg? I reaaaly want to hear reason from them. Also Always on display got a very bad position and looks. If it was me I would like it at the bottom with edge-less design and please, AMOLED! Its shame how its clear to fail but we cannot do a thing to change that.
I hope that they have reduced the capacity of that phone for a reason, or even better I hope that the rumors about the batteries are not true
Noel, 31 Dec 2015WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! LG....that rumored 2800mAh battery and 3GB RAM will be a sure SALES... moreAnd it will cost 1000 US dollars because of all those specs, and to keep unworthy plebs out.
Happy New Year wish.
5.3 inch display ????
samsung started to increase the display size of its flagship devices
and Lg decided to decrease it ??
what is happening in LG ?
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! LG....that rumored 2800mAh battery and 3GB RAM will be a sure SALES KILLER for many.
I am sorry...i don't care from which OEM, my next device must have a massive battery (removable will be perfect), 4GB RAM for a 2016 flagship, in my view will be nice for LG to implement its own take on front firing speakers instead of a secondary display. I will be fine with a 5.3" QHD screen with minimal bezels and a high 75+% screen to bezel ratio.
The OEM who can deliver these simple but top specs for 2016....a high capacity battery plus fast charging, SD820, 4GB RAM, decent 21MP rear w/a 8+MP front camera, iris/finger print scanner, a 5.2" to 5.5" QHD screen (amoled will be best with decent screen protection Gorilla glass 4, shatter proof etc), close to stock Android 6 build will win lots of hearts
If g5 will come with a 2800 battery when g6 will be release it will come with 2600battery???Wake up LG, we need more battery life!!!
