12MP camera?
that's BS. samsung has a marketing team and they definitely know how 16 to 12 will be viewed as a downgrade by typical buyers. even if it's new technology that is supposedly better, they will not do it. they will likely just stick with 16MP and use a bigger sensor.

Samsung finished developing Britecell for its upcoming phones in oct/nov i think last year, the first said new module allows for an apature as far as f1.7, iphone 6s =2.2, even galaxy s6 was better at 1.9, its pixel capture is 1.12um compared to 1.22 on iphone 6s and this was in development long before the 6s came along, the s6/note 5/edge cameras are way better then iphone and i think overall 1st and 3rd in the best mobile cameras ever as rated by dx0mark and allow manual controls as well, so talk about copying again blindly, go educate urself please

Such devices need stereo/ panorama dual lens setups as their main camera. Two 1 inch sensors with 16:9 ,3:2 and 4:3 options whose optics can record either stereo images or using just one sensor/lens combo a single photograph as now. The selfie camera could so easily be abandoned as even on my G4 its quality is so very poor it is a waste, as are sharpened jpegs from any mobile Imho. One day there will be a sharp f1.4 24mm lens good enough edge to edge and corner to corner to allow full use of such a format. You could even have multisensored mobiles that take great panoramas using three or more small angled lenses. O bet one arroves of both these types by end 2017

Samsung, instead of throwing in the biggest and baddest hardware in your phones why don't you focus on fixing the existing the ram issue? As soon as you exit out of an app it redraws it.. What's the point of having 3GB of ram if you can't truly multitask with it?.. Also there must be a way to stop AMOLED screen from having burn ins... Any Samsung that is used anywhere from 8 months and up starts getting annoying screen burn ins that never go away. Will never buy from Sammy until they get these 2 very big issues resolved..

Peter, 04 Jan 2016Bigger pixels means better low light pictures thus better pictures. I would prefer it if they keep the same resolution and make better low light capture, rather than drop it to 12mp just to have bigger pixels. Or is it not possible given the size of the phone.
