What is this?
A full frame refers to 35mm films which Digital ... morehahaha lol, you got confused :)
"Full frame" is a free term, and refers to any format that has a standardised frame size, while being compared to the smaller iterations of the "same" format. In 35mm standard a full frame would be 36x24mm.
In this particular occasion this is a 645 medium format 54x40mm (it's not exactly a full frame 645, but lets pretend that we agree with them). Most of the digital medium-format cameras are not full frame, actually, most of them are barely medium format at all.
Also, theoretically (and practically) every medium format camera is also a full-fram 35mm format LOL, just crop the center of the image and that is it :)

10yo cameras from the came class as this, are still selling used about 15K.
This are the things that do not get outdated. It's sensor is as large as the entire screen of a galaxy mini, so you're never getting this in a phone :)

I make my living from photography, for a phone I have a Note 5, and the images from it are miserable compared to my first camera, 12 years old Canon 350D. Really, miserable, nothing less. 500D is a more modern camera but makes the same images as a 350D. The 2015 canon 7D mark II also makes the same images as a 12yo Canon 350D... why? Because it's the same sensor size, that equals same geometry and same depth. A 30 years old film camera will poop in every phone, 350D, 500D, 7D or any other small sensor camera. It's not a game of electronics, it's a game of physics. Larger is better and that is it.

As far as i know even wi... moreI did a lot of sight seeing in the last few weeks and my nexus 6p makes more good pictures than the 2 year old ~500€ cannon of my girlfriend. For sure the optical zoom is missing but besides that we make more phone pictures because of all the modern software optimization they turn out to be the better pictures. Especially in low light, the cannon cannot deliver comparable shots without a tripod. It's either dark (short exposure time) or blurry with blown out highlights (long exposure time).. And even with a tripod the problem with the blown out light sources stays what it is. The nexus for sure doesn't follow the same rules of physics because it shoots two pictures and merges them to one but since this is done automatically and I just get one picture I don't care as a end user and so I would say its likely that in 10 years, if the development continues how it is, a smartphone will shoot comparable pictures to this monster of a camera.

Full Frame Medium Format?
What is this?
A full frame refers to 35mm films which Digital Photography Sensor is almost the same.
35 = Full Frame = Crop factor is 1.0
Medium Format is bigger with crop factor of under 0.7 and a step behind Large Format that is under 0.3.
How you can create a sensor which is both Medium and Small (Full Frame) format?
100MP in such format is normal thanks to the small size of pixels, regarding the category; they are still bigger than those in 40+MP Full Frame Sensors available.
100MP with ISO 6400 at night with such massive sensor accompanying a super fast lens (f:1.4) can create masterpieces in action scenes in dark area. How almost noiseless artistic photographs will be captured directly from the gear, in a Metallica concert : {()

As far as i know even with the latest and greatest BSI tehnology the camera on smartphones still not good enough to beat dedicated camera with large image sensor.
Even in good light with dedicated camera with M4/3 sensor or bigger you'll get more color depth, dynamic range and high ISO.
And now we are talking about medium format image sensor.
