I know there are not a lot of nice AAA games on android , However if google and game devs decide things can change in future.
I accept that ST has lots of nice games however the same can can be said for android if u nitpick games on android
but yes ST gives a controller support i give that to you but pitty its only limited to ST.
but in my opinion key mapping is not a ideal solution cause its is not simple. what i was talking abt is a comman platform or a app which will support all the comman game controller in the market and still the future controller can still be updated further with the app.
Only then this types of docks will have huge success. So yes its the games devs who need to stop being lazy and work with google to develop some kind of support for the controllers in there upcoming Android 6.0.

As for quality gaming - grab a Shield Tablet K1 and a wireless controller. That stuff does miracles for pretty much anything (and this is coming from the person saying Tegra 2, 3 and 4 were a complete disaster area). Even outside games you can use your controller as a mouse pointer...and if you happen to have the shield-specific controller, I was told you can download key mappings for the more famous games that don't have native controller support and still play them just fine with it...oh and you know those games that don't have immersive mode because the devs are too lazy or have no clue how to do it? The ST has the built-in option to hide the soft buttons (I think HTC had that option first...or was it Sony?).

i mean all the games are touchscreen based and the game dev's are too lazzy to add the comman game controllers support (wired) or (wireless) like x box 360, x box one,ps3 or ps4 etc controllers along with there games.
however i hope this techology evolves soon and we see a real use of this technology .casue as far as screen mirrioring is concered it can be done through miracast and chromecast hdmi dongles,
However game playing requires real time user input in which miracast and chromecast fails badly.
Again hopefully in future things changes and we get to take good advantage of this technology.
There is chromecast(with controller), screen mirroring or just cast your whole phone screen. And this one is chromecast + ms display dock like. But let's not forget the ouya and nexus Player.

Well back to the article: seems like this would take a while to actually sell, as the product base that supports it is pretty small, would it have both USB type C and the Micro USB it could be a nice choice. For now I don't think this model in particular is much useful. The product concept is, but the specific model.
