Twitter will never take over facebook not that it can't but because it never really delivers what the end user needs. Just look at their useless mobile site, one can't even upload a profile pic on it. Now look at fb's mobile site, majority of the features are available. Even when it comes to apps, fb is still supporting java phones while twitter only cares about ios & android.

10000 characters for private messages is just fine, but applying it on the main timeline is indeed overkill. Why not just make it 160 to 200 characters instead?

A little jump to 200 or 250 would be nice...but 10,000 seems like overkill..

I wished for more characters, but not 10,000. That's a lot more than I wished for. Meanwhile, my other wishes are still pending -_-

I dislike Twitter but I am forced to use it for my work sometimes. I hate that 140 character limit. For a business, we're not able to convey everything.
