ssbatman21, 06 Jan 2016u still hav no idea wat u r talking about, and no manners as well....
u r implying that xiaom... moreYou really need to go to English classes mate. Now let me educate you.
There are many reasons for not mass producing a phone:
A) if SOC is not enough for the phone
B) if soc has some problems when integrated into a phone.
C) During the trial period. ( and you may know that xiaomi's CEO has been using it for near a month or even more)
What make you think that xiaomi cannot mass produce a phone and release a month earlier rather than 1 and half months from now??
Many customers will just wait a bit of time and look for what other OEMs will offer like samsung and Htc ( knowing that there is not much of gap between releasing mi5 and s7 or even m10)
Xiaomi will sell their phones like hotcakes if it will release that beast as early as possible. Else there might be the condition like Iphone 6 plus and note 4 last year.
So IMO xiaomi could and should have done this earlier.
Almand, 06 Jan 2016Im typin this right now on an iPhone 6 plus Xiaomi mi note does not heat any more than this ... moreThanks for that almand. I actually was pointing for the small segment in 5" or 5.2" though.
Mi Note is such a beautiful phone. Sadly it is not available in India..
this home button looks so ugly i am waiting for this phone so long but its screen smaller than i expected at least should be 5.5 no sd card slot nor remov. battery and this button man looks so ugly sorry xiaomi but i will go for samsung s7 thanks for wasting for my time waiting for mi5
android guy, 06 Jan 2016dream phone... 5.2 inch perfect... 4gb ram perfect... if sd820 is successful perfect... 64gb s... moreAgreed, that's pretty much the phone I'd be looking for too, though I might want removable/larger battery too. I've got my fingers crossed for it, but I haven't got my hopes up too high QHD screens seem to be the standard for high end phones now, which is rather disappointing :(.
Mumbai-Indians, 07 Jan 2016Yes, dream phone indeed, hope it has removable battery & metal body.i dnt thnk it wud hav a removable battery but xiaomi is very good wid its build quality, hav mi4 for 11 months now and still looks brand new.
Lacks stereo speakers, no buy for me. QHD screen also useless. Much better FullHD which would also positively influence battery life.
dream phone... 5.2 inch perfect... 4gb ram perfect... if sd820 is successful perfect... 64gb storage perfect.. IF IT HAD STOCK ANDROID IT WOULD SELL ME!!!! its awesome. Its actually my dream with these kind specs.
Abhishekh, 06 Jan 2016Since other devices with snapdragon 820 is being announced, why is xiaomi really being so late... moreIm typin this right now on an iPhone 6 plus
Xiaomi mi note does not heat any more than this
Its one of the best android devices I have ever used even though it comes with SD810
Anonymous, 06 Jan 2016Lol, are u kidding me? What does your knowledge tell you about releasing mi5. Xiaomi was watin... moreu still hav no idea wat u r talking about, and no manners as well....
u r implying that xiaomi is late to the snapdragon 820 party wen der is literally not a single phone right now in d market wid snapdragon 820..... and wen mi5 arrives, ite gonna be d only snapdragon 820 powered smartphone considering letv's limited market and ridiculously large size.(letv le max pro at 6.33" is basically a compact tablet, not a smartphone)
so again, get educated.....
Anonymous, 06 Jan 2016are you kidding me? even a phone case maker predicted Mi5 is powered by SD820Exactly..there was nothing to confirm about it.
Arijit Ray, 06 Jan 2016If I understand correctly, SD820 features an ultrasonic finger-print sensor... which will elim... moreBut 820 isn't much developed to have an ultrasonic fingerprint, it's still in developing stage. So 820 having capacitive fingerprint
No it is actually a physical area like the home button(in the case of Mi5) that uses the ultra sonic fingerprint feature...for more infohttp://www.cnet.com/news/qualcomm-snapdragon-sense-id-3d-fingerprint-scanner-hands-on/ @Arjit Ray
