Anonymous, 23 Apr 2010Send? LoL you can't send anything without internet - and mobile internet isn't free you know?
... moreMaybe to a young kid like you who can't afford a real phone plan, a lack of data may be an issue.
I have an iPhone on a real phone plan with data that is easy for me to afford.
I can sit on the Internet all day long, have my phone continuously syncing email, contacts and calendars and not care at all about data use, I can tether to my laptop and I have continuous 3G reception for 100 miles in any direction I want to go.
I can drop files onto virtual drives on my desktop and they appear in the relevant App on my phone.
It isn't an issue.

So what's wrong with the iphone having one as well? The millions of iphone users seem to don't mind, so why is it a problem? Are you trying to make a big deal of something that's not an issue? I think you're just knit picking.

Why do you keep on insisting bt as if that's the only way of transferring files? And what's wrong with relying on the internet? It's always there, so why not make use of it. Why do you have to drive 50 miles just to send me a file via bt? And it doesn't take hours to upload 10 files, lol. You're totally exagerrating. But hey, if bluetoothing is what you do all day, then I will not argue with you. But the millions of users who bought the iphone seem to be fine without it.

You can go to a wifi hotspot to do it for free. But if you subscribe to a data plan, you have to pay for it of course just like with other phones that subscribe data plan. You can transfer music to the iphone very easily as well. Now if you are referring to transferring music from one phone to another, then I suggest you buy your own songs. I did not buy songs so I could support freeloaders. As for photos, I can email photos from my iphone at my convenience. I have a canon digital camera that takes great pictures. When friends want a copy of it, they're really fine not getting it till the following day or a little bit later. And you did say what if we're on a trip right? Well I take my laptop with me on my trips, so that means I can send those pics later when I organize those photos in my laptop.
Anonymous, 23 Apr 2010Again you're going back in time again, lol. So what if Apple didn't really take off back then... moreWhat PAST do I bring up?
-it wasn't I to mention Newton in the first place
-it wasy you to say nokia didn't have touchscreens untill 2007, I just roved you wrong.
YOU keep bringing up the bast because yo can't stand the fact that apple WAS a failure untill 2000, and an unsuccressful computer company untill they released the iPhone.
It's you who are frustrated and can't get your facts straight with apple's past and a mans past shapes his future hences steve jobs is a m0r0n that doesn't allow you to use open standards like usb and bluetoot and wants to force the H264 streaming over flash to get the royalties of that codec.
Just the same way he did with the firewire connector and ran the entire standard into the ground.

The iPhone 4G is 100% inspired by the newton.
It just so happens it has the exact aspect ratio of the N810, same round button design as the N810, same silver border as the N810 and a coincidentally similar screen and border as the N810.
It's interesting how it has a front camera like the N810 too :)

So what if Apple didn't really take off back then. It wasn't their time to shine back then, and now that they are doing well, you get upset and try to keep bringing up their past? How bitter of you. It is in our past that we learn to be better. But at the same time it is not nice to keep on dwelling in the past.

You can send files from the iphone w/out itunes. Itunes is mainly where you back up data from your iphone. Bt is not the only way to send files. You can email files from the iphone. Didn't the iphone sell more units than your omnia? And stop making silly justifications on why the iphone became a successful device. It's not just because of its apps, but it's a combination of different success factors. The iphone itself being one of those factors. The sytematic structure of Apple's integration of services. The Apps Store. The Itunes. The integration of those are part of the iphone's success.
The iphone does not focus on megapixels like samsung, lg, and nokia does. And it is Samsung who is trying to give Apple a run for its money, not the other way around :)
