Mello, 09 Jan 2016"Jack of all trades, master of none." Then again, there's a market for that. Market is often subjective. There are many other factors that run it.
But I may say for sure, PC productivity in light and sleek form factor is the future. Comments like his will not stop it. Time of the toys is soon over.
This device shows that it's coming.
And this is valid for any user....windows, mac, android....
There will always be some segment for real-power users though.

and he can't agree sp4 with laptop grade hardware is not srt. he claims buying laptop and smartphone separately saves money

            Name the 'departments', please!

            P.S.
As I've said , this is tablet-ultrabook hybrid . And the beast one on paper so far.
So there are two departments here - tablet and ultrabook. Which one is not very good ?
I you say that is not good for the power PC users, what about the other department?

I am also a lazy programer but I don't like working on lap. may be for my taste it is good. but for on bed programming this type of devices is good. if you misunderstood currently I don't have a device like this. but my colleague has one, after seeing how effectively he uses it I fall in love with this type of devices, I would purchase a surface book or sp4 like device. there are more sp4 like devices released by various brands, not just Samsung. and there soon will be some good convertibles like surface book. if I am to choose between these two. I will go for surface book, but sp4 is also good

What 'either department' ? Meaning that that Tab Pro S can not compare with iPad in its 'department'.
Bashing the PC capability of Tab Pro S though, I could ignore. (even if it's great ultrabook for most of the ppl in the world, doing everything ppl expect from an ultrabook).

I can't imagine myself doing development on a tablet device, of course until I first give it a try and see it is really worth investing in one. Being a somewhat lazy person, I prefer to work on my laptop from my couch or bed. So, I doubt whether the new tablet range can really prove to be a laptop replacement for me or not. Will see.

-- although claims being made that they are a proper laptop replacement, how actually you use them in your lap? Its very difficult to first balance and then type.

-- very steep pricing compared to similarly speced laptops

These 2-in-1 solutions try to become both, while (if we talk about tab pro s/sp) it is neither a proper tablet (should be light on resources e.g rt, light weight, only casual use), nor a proper laptop (power user thingy with full blown productivity characteristics). Again, this is my subjective opinion.
