This was your BS that we started:

'.....since such products end up being not so perfect in a single department.'

So what product is perfect in single department ? iPad? What is more perfect iPad than Tab Pro S there? In which 'department'. Please tell us! Productivity ? ergonomics? Or else?
About the power users: Should the OEM's stop making laptops because the desktops could be more powerful? Product is great when it fits to most users. Tab Pro S is just this kind of product. Meets all the productivity needs of 80-90% windows and mac users , and blow away the toys-tablets .

Other than being on proper windows, everything else is almost the same (ergonomics?).

I'll try to borrow it from him and see whether it can replace my just recently bought hp 15 AB221TX laptop with Windows10, which I thoroughly love. So, yeah.

Jatt Jugaadi, 08 Jan 2016Productivity? What productivity is missing Tab Pro S that iPad has????? LOL

P.S.
In last comment I mentioned that this version of Tab Pro S is meant for the main-stream PC users. And I mean full Windows , not RT ......as you proved to be an ignorant.
Not for the power users , though.
Tab Pro S can do everything that old i5 could do. So what was your point again?

surface is a premium brand like apple so the price will be premium.
surface pro 4 has good accessories but don't know about galaxy tab pro. since most of the Samsung high end devices are of good quality . so this could be like that.

Jatt Jugaadi, 08 Jan 2016Its great if it works for you. However, I was never happy with my surface rt mainly because of utssurface rt is like iPad pro or even worse than it. another bad tablet. you should give surface pro 3 or surface pro 4 a try.

I use my tablet (Galaxy tab s 8.4) more than my phone. Browsing, rss feeds like for this esteemed publication, maps, reference apps, kindle.

However, I personally don't find tablet devices very suitable for professional use. For one, the keyboard provided is not a laptop keyboard grade one (I know this from my surface rt). It can wear out pretty soon with prolonged usage (quite normal for power users). Moreover, it will be very expensive to replace it later on if it stops working somehow (Microsoft accessory prices are insane to say the least!), of course availability is also a concern here. In contrast, if you decide to switch to any third party solutions for the input parts (e.g. Logitech etc) for better durability, then it defeats the original purpose of buying a tablet device over a laptop. Furthermore, not so flexible display angles and display safety is another concern for me.

Many can disagree, however these are my personal views. Please feel free to share yours.

Be Cool, 08 Jan 2016'since such products end up being not so perfect in a single department.' Blah , blah... E... moreAgain, productivity? Proper windows (read: Windows 10 Home/Pro in this case) IS meant for power users, IMO. For non-power users any android bases tablet or even windows rt based one would have been sufficient. So power users should find using proper windows on a tablet device pretty pointless for many reasons is what I believe.

Jatt Jugaadi, 08 Jan 2016Can't agree more. Tablets are more of a show off thing these days. They should be obsolete ... moreDunno, but I just find more useful carrying my windows tablet than any laptop, I make light video editing so I don't need a powerful and heavy laptop, that windows tablet just solved my need.

Not everything is gaming or casual use you know. So this Samsung windows tablet looks tempting for me.

I have seen programming Android studio on a surface pro 4. I had some doubts about this before, but just like me when you find someone actually using it you will understand. actually tablet's were just show off devices with neither use of a actual laptop or phone effectively. but when it have a laptop OS and keyboard touchpad compo. it works better. tablet mode is good for watching movies and desktop mode for productivity applications.

Except for the power users, what 'single department' you are talking about?
This is mainstream version, though.

SoC do the same job as the older versions of i5. And same as on base Surface 4.
Greatest display, good battery life, greatest size for what it is.
Great keyboard for travelers. Included in the pack!
Full Windows 10. Real SSD .
Of course some may want something more powerful , even desktop. But for 80-90% of the PC users this is the best solution yet. Samsung just turned the table with the cards.

This is basically the same as a smartphone camera can not replace a real dedicated dslr. Same is true for a tablet with a keyboard dock and a proper laptop. Manufacturers are trying to make products that can do a lot of things at the same time which in my opinion is a bad trend, since such products end up being not so perfect in a single department. For some this is acceptable, while for others (including me) this is more of a no go.
