I smell it will perform just like SD810 it will probably outperform other chips like SD820 and exynos because of extra core plus huge clock speed. BUT in exchange there might be a huge overheating I'm just smelling it now lol, because 10 cores really? will eat battery quickly. And it will probably have over throttling idk. But this is just my guesses. Let's see what they will show us!
Anonymous, 11 Jan 2016There's so much wrong with Mediatek SoCs 20-core processors wouldn't help them..."Bad" like bad GPU (don't play phone games, they're for kids). "Bad" like bad radios (great GPS and 4g in all 2015 Mediatek SoCs). "Bad" like bad single core performance (A72 fixes that).
But I have to agree it would be "bad" when it will beat overrated Qualcomm (the awkward moment that $150 Mediatek phone is more fluid than the $800 Galaxy S7)
Anonymous, 11 Jan 2016the more cores it have the more power it consume Wrong, the opposite is true. Time and again big.little when implemented correctly showed to be more energy efficient than setups with few cores. Having many cores means the right cores are see for the right task, so very low battery discharging...
lol, 11 Jan 2016Good luck with a GPU that's weaker than Adreno 418. I don't play games, a powerful GPU is literally useless on a phone. I have a gaming PC for games.
at least 4000mah to power this device , even its can last 12 hours wifi , its doesn't mean we dont have problem at around 6 - 8pm. currently Samsung A7 even just 4pm already left around 24% battery life.
lol, 11 Jan 2016Good luck with a GPU that's weaker than Adreno 418. Galaxy S4 GPU (adreno 320-96 ALU) is better than X20 GPU (Mali-T880 MP4) so how you compare it with adreno 418.
Don't forget it's much cheaper and we don't need such powerful GPU it's not a console.
Anonymous, 11 Jan 2016There's so much wrong with Mediatek SoCs 20-core processors wouldn't help them...Why do you spammers have to spam everywhere mediatek has nothing wrong with it its just that people are biased against it in some cases it is equal or even better than Qualcomm and much more cheaper for manufactures which makes the device more cheaper for the consumer.

I like Meizu phones, great battery life with Samsung processors. Let's hope Helio X20 is kinder to batteries than the X10 which seems to be a battery drainer.
I can say that using a 10 core CPU will be very practical in the real word, and its benefits with running Android will be unparalleled.
Original-Jamaican, 11 Jan 2016The only thing I have to say if it will indeed be 10 cores it will be a beast.Yeah... And like Anandtech showed time and again Android utilizes all cores, unlike what haters say.
So thrilled to see a phone that will not be using SD820 with its punny 4 cores. 2016 the year that Western companies will finally pay their insistence to cr*p chips (4 cores in 2016? What the heck Qualcomm?).
It would be funny to see $159 Chinese phones routinely outperforming "flagships"...
