I´ve no idea how much cost to update from an old android to a newer version, but what I can't understand is the reason for not been available the option on google play to update de OS, even if we have to pay but at least have the option. Think, S6 been able to download the Marshmallow and we pay about $50 for it. WHY NOT?
Is performance really matter for Androids? What about software and updatings? Nothing chance in the android worlds.

I hope Samsung release cheaper exynos 8890 too that implement the same HMP.
I don't need extra that 4K display.
I just need powerful phone with extra long life battery.
It's just a king for Today, will be a junk in the next few years. I won't follow this stupid investment stream. Sorry for being skeptic.
"Delivers a PC or Console-like gaming experience".....
Seriously, maybe you can mock console because of their super outdated configuration but how dare you want to compare a 5 inch device with almighty desktop computers? maybe compare with ultra books but not desktops.
Anonymous, 12 Jan 2016Heh. If Samesung were that proud of its Exynos chip, it would not be selling the Galaxy S 7 wi... moreI wouldn't buy a Samsung device with Snapdragon that's like buying an iPhone 6s with one of those cheap replacement screens people buy for 10$ off of Amazon to replace the screen they broke.

taking into account the battery size though, yes it might have a longer life
shloki, 11 Jan 2016Oh man, the fact that they mention 4k means that it's coming. If not for the S7, then for the ... moreAnd how 'bout your wallet?
PC or console like graphics... Well that entirely depends on what era youre talking...

AnonD-416078, 12 Jan 2016But graphics =/= experience. Yes, but infographics is about Chip's performance and experience is meant in terms of graphical rendering abilities only. :) However, your point is valid in other sense too. I am just trying to relate it to the processor only.
AnonD-348688, 12 Jan 2016Not necessarily. that is 10% lower consumption on the CPU alone. It doesn't mean 10% increase ... moreThe screen's the same size, or possibly 0.7 inches bigger and you'd expect the majority of components are at least as efficient as last year because Samsung is good at that, so I see no reason at all why that 10% doesn't translate to real world savings.
AnonD-457389, 12 Jan 2016I think 4k on S7 would be an overkill, I'd rather have 1440p and a longer battery life.Honestly 720p would be perfect
But a human can dream in this world right?
So, the big cores are these new custom 'Mongoose' cores from Samsung, but the little cores are still standard A53's yes????
Heh. If Samesung were that proud of its Exynos chip, it would not be selling the Galaxy S 7 with a Snapdragon SoC in major markets.

Not necessarily. that is 10% lower consumption on the CPU alone. It doesn't mean 10% increase in battery life. You also have a screen, the storage, speakers etc etc.
I think 4k on S7 would be an overkill, I'd rather have 1440p and a longer battery life.
