Maybe you don't, but it is a problem on every device using Google Play Services.
AnonD-356282, 14 Jan 2016And OEM's will always have to follow Google's requirements on how to implement Android. I'm so... moreOEM's are free to do with Android (as a core OS) whatever they like (exactly what Amazon do with the Kindle fire series) under the AOSP.
However if those OEM's what their device to have access to Google Play services (the Play store & Google's own apps) then there are certain parameters they have to abide by (exactly what Amazon don't do with the Kindle fire series).
Now Tann Hauser latest reply to you seems to imply that Sony's iteration of Android is completely bug free, but a simple Google search of "Xperia Z5 software issues" will quickly refute that rather naïve thinking.
Were it true, it would mean Sony has done what no other OS manufacturer in the history of software engineering has ever been able to do and put a out a bug free commercial OS (and you would see that very quickly in the Guinness book of records).
Like you say I don't know what information he is using to quantify the number of bugs in one OS as opposed to another, my guess is he's just going on his usual bias.
Oh and he will also accuse me of trolling for posting this comment as well.
AnonD-356282, 14 Jan 2016And OEM's will always have to follow Google's requirements on how to implement Android. I'm so... moreNo, they have limitations of what they can do....
But they can implement their own apps, looks, and drivers...
Hell they can even implement their own launcher for different user interface...
So I guess my xperias clock app for example, does not have that bug that googles own has as reported in nexus phones...
That Applies to any other phone feature too...

How exactly do you quantify the amount of "bugs" in each OS? I'm curious. Given each OEM has access to mod Android and therefore muck it up, this seems to be a rendundant topic.
lol, 13 Jan 2016No. Don't even start this shit. Android's inconsistent idle drain is a well known problem. Are you implying I am lying, to suite your own little fan rant?
No, there IS NO SUCH BUG on Xperia.
Dont know what Nexus devices or some other OEMs are dealing with, but not my concern...
They should deal with their bugs just like apple has to deal with its own little bug bunch....

Like I said you've demonstrated that you know nothing more than that person, and your comments prove that. Oh you might fancy yourself an expert, but nah, your actual knowledge is really limited.
Look, you think my picking the obvious holes in your comments is trolling, then whatever, to me it's simply seeing someone talking nonsense and calling them on it.
But I assure you I am not furious, I don't like fanboy behaviour (of which you are a textbook case) but your comments make me chuckle more than anything else. Please don't call me darling or sweetie again though......it's creepy
Oh and if Apple do remove the headphone jack, then yeah I will be critical of that decision, I am not a brand devoted fanloon, like you.

And you cannot prove in anyway otherwise.
So you get angry and furious...
And you start writing your nonsense posts directed at me ( ie trolling me personally)
Better go criticize apple for relieving you of that headphone jack so it can squeeze more money out of you on account of guilability ;-)

AnonD-391800, 13 Jan 2016Ah, expected a reply like this from you, as always...
I always have backup for my claims, and... moreYou have never backed up your claims,
I have asked you repeatedly, every time you prattle on about the superiority of the Xperia Z series, or how they have the best Camera, Fingerprint scanner, mutli-tasking, gpu etc., yet you never back it up.
The stability of both platforms is a very debatable issue, one outdated article will prove nothing, from my experience (and unlike you I have had extensive experience using Android since it launched, and iOS since version 5), I can say it's iOS that has been the more stable, but I will not claim that my experience makes it the rule, I'll leave that kind of arrogance to the likes of you.
Now as I'm honest about my experience, I will say that I have as yet not had any actual real time with marshmallow, so cannot speak to the stability improvements made over Lollipop, chances are (knowing me), I'll switch to an android phone at some point during this year, so will find out then.
I wonder what hands on time you have with iOS 9 by the way??? or any device outside of an Xperia for that matter? (but don't worry, I don't expect you to answer)
Neither will I claim one is better than the other overall, I like to use, and have investment (in terms of apps and services) in both.
And my point stands, it's not Android you are trying to defend, it's just Sony's use of it, if they ever switch, so will you.
When you start issuing actual facts, and not Fanboy propaganda, maybe I'll listen, until then you haven't actually proved that you know what you are talking about any more than the person you accused of knowing nothing.

I dare to say, most than any debaters or trolls I converse with.
But guys like you either just ignore it, or try to somehow disclaim it, or... Just get angry and stuff.
Its a wonder how google manages to make a more stable OS than apple, with all those vastly numerous driver and feature incorporations from one itteration of OS to another...
But afterall, Apple primarily aims for looks rather than functionality, always has and will be.
Be chill, accept some facts and...
Be well, use iphone, and prosper dude... ;-)
AnonD-391800, 13 Jan 2016Do not be hypocritical, I comment on news items, dont go wandertrolling on threads of specific... moreHypocritical?? Tann you are full of it!!!
Your not even an Android fan, were Sony to switch to an alternate OS tomorrow, you would start ranting about the problems with Android straight away!
Your little article is not even current and mentions nothing of the later .** releases for either os, so it proves nothing, all it says is that at the time of writing BGR's source found that IOS had a slightly higher crash rate than Lollipop.
But I will give you some credit, that is the first time I have at least seen you try to justify the nonsense you spew.
And no neither Sony's or HTC's android skins are 'Known' to be the most reliable at all. Sense is said to be the most fluid of the various android OEM skins (Sony's included, 'stock' Android excluded), but that's about the only accolade I have seen ever seen passed on the subject.
And still you take the time to throw out a troll accusation! tell me, when was the last time you personally used an iOS device?
You like questioning everyone's experience, what have you got?
