J, 13 Jan 2016The fastest phone was from meizu followed by samsung note 4 a year ago. Iphone never been on topThe fastest phone is iPhone 6s, iPhone has been fastest phone EVERY YEAR, and im not talking about pointless multiscore points, im talking about the speed and smoothness which users feel and see when they use their devices.

Or you can simply read the iPhone 6s review on gsmarena. Benchmark or real world performance no matter which one, 6S is the fastest, deal with it.

              I have iPhone 5 with IOS 8.
I can confirm that device is running slower than before. IOS 8 added a lot of bugs comparing to IOS 7 and runs slower.

It's funny how android fans trash talking about iOS slowing older devices. Some of them never had a chance to use an apple device. Stop bullshiting about the things you don't know. iPhone 4s and iPad mini are very old devices. It's normal to see them lagging with latest update with many features that iOS 9 offers. You want the fastest phone in the world? Okay then go buy an iPhone 6s. If you don't have that much money to spend then buy an iPhone 6. And if you don't have money or don't want to spend money to buy things you like (Like most android fans) .... Hmmm... Then go buy a cheap obsoleted android phone running kitkat or lollipop with no updates.

By the way I own both iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6, running iOS 9 buttery smooth ;-)

Well... it doesnt mean the device is new if you buy it from the store, the difference with those devices is ONE YEAR :)

You should talk about Nexus 4 which released same time than iPad mini, well Nexus 4 didn't got android 6 update... so kudos to google team? ;)

Newer updates will keep coming on apples side, until the device is so laggy and bugged it can no longer be used. Not saying this is a bad thing, just thinking on some of the older devices that run the latest version of iOS.

Why apple is trying to update latest OS on older devices, is totally useless. We cannot go back to the previous version. My iPad mini is running latest version but there is so much of lag everywhere and multi tasking is almost is impossible. I am enjoying Android 6 on my Nexus 5 with buttery smooth and stable operating system.I bought both devices at same time. Kudos google team.

Android Hero, 13 Jan 2016poor older apple devices forced to use iOS 9 to slow their phones. Don't update immediately wait until the reviews come out. That way you can find whether you should update or not. I wish there is a way to roll back to previous version if there is problem. Most people just update for the sake of getting an update and some people are exited to see what is new in the update. So they just update without properly checking. After updating no going back. This is true to all not just Apple. iOS is a very resource hungry OS. So even one generation old devices sometimes become slow. So no matter what phone you're using wait for the reviews before updating.
