I bought my XL the day they came out. It's 8 core processor, beautiful large display, good battery life and great camera make it a good choice. Yes, the MS Store doesn't have the exact same apps that Apple and Google have, but it has plenty of apps to make your daily life great. Not to mention Cortana, the best digital assistant out there.

What an exorbitant pricing!! Microsoft seem to recover all their losses with a single phone. To follow Apple iPhone pricing, it should first do the ground work. Even Nokia had greater fan base. Microsoft should have built on Nokia base.

I just think they didn't make many of them, thus coming soon. I don't think they would actually sell at all in North America. I don't think I'll ever see a Microsoft phone on the streets.

Windows has very nice design on their phones. But has very poor apps support and Is has a lot of bugs which can be fixed only in a long time. So yeah but I believe it will get better time by time. If play store wouldn't be as huge as it is now and if that custom ROM support would be just a dream then windows would really be doing a great work with their phones. Though 2016 is coming all 2015 flagships drops in price. Look at Chinese android phones and you will see very good specs for low price really. And Android is just better than windows. I have really no knowledge about windows but I think it is a new mobile is right? and so it has a lot of bugs.

Also doesnt 950xl have liquid cooling processor? also yeah I don't see a huge interest into windows because android is still more rich. But overall windows design looks awesome. App support is poor on this one. Also seen a lot of bugs on YouTube which Microsoft fixes it hardly so yeah. Attraction is real on this phone.

It's a great phone and it's a true flagship despite people keep on complaining about the same every year and in fact they keep complaining about stuff that has been solved a long time ago already. Brainless defending their own OS, the majority of people who complain are android users and sadly, they have never used a Windows powered phone. Afraid that Windows 10 is in fact even better than android and has more potential than either iOS or a android, they're still commenting on how bad Windows is. Lumia 950 and 950XL are an absolute Best Buy after the fix on the OS. And the lower end Lumia's are a better deal for money with guaranteed updates, something you absolutely won't find with a 80 euro android.

Android Hero, 13 Jan 2016"sales" might be using that word wrong, but i see a lot of threads about this phone having hug... more it may not be special phone for android or ios users. It is a long awaited flagship from 3rd major OS. It has some specialty that might not be very very special like iris scanner, display docking. And some rear feature in high end models like removable battery, expandable memory slot.
If I look at it from Android/ios fans view it has got too many drawbacks - no apps, less UI customization, boring tiles.
These 950 & 950xl has got some more flaws other these biased drawbacks. Like poor battery life and incomplete OS, optimization. Only after series of update these two might standup like true flagship.
Why these two are always in news and why always there is a discount, because, Microsoft has seen some good sales or worst. So they are giving discounts everyday to attract buyers..
