If u want to update your mobile into window 10 than change ur region in setting from India to finland and restart ur ph after that check for update.....it will show the update and u can download and enjoy................

Needless to say, India is a country with a potential market that is rapidly expanding in terms of number of mobile users rising every day. Keeping this in view, the roll-out should have begun simultaneously along with those already-flourished markets across the globe, so that you could capitalize on this roll-out if you wanted to attract this huge customer base in India.

Lumia lovers also waiting for windows 10 update in India..i don't know why this Microsoft in not showing interest on indian Lumia users.... India has high population and mostly yongers are ready to accept new versions and updates.but Microsoft not giving concern to their Lumia users..

Looks like Poland Lumia 640 Users must be getting the update first.
I have also tried for the update and no joy.
Microsoft UK should update the UK Users as well especially if its not a network branded handset like the ones Carphone Warehouse sell.

Since you mention"over the air" upgrade to windows 10, does this mean we have to get the download via the mobile carrier, rather than via ISP (using the phone's WiFi)? That's going to be expensive!

Just checked my 640 in U.K. I already have the build number that is listed above, it is still on 8.1 and no update showing.
So don't understand.
Has anyone in Poland actually got it working on their phone via windows update?

I hope Windows 10 for mobiles will bring all small small features that were missing and essential in daily use. UI tweaks, no resuming screen, less app startup time, faster booting, battery life improvement, quick reaction from tap & hold event, complete file manager support like Symbian OS.
That is enough for me. I'm using 730 from last 9 months. These are the issues I found from my experience. If Windows phone runs smooth even with lower hardware configuration then resuming screen, huge app startup time, high booting speed shouldn't be the issues(for those who say Windows phone doesn't need higher configuration)

Microsoft is working on an app called Update Advisor for mobile phones. It will be bring W10M to most mobile phones that are ignored by it's manufacturer and mobile phone carrier.

As there is no further series, last being 10 windows may take years rolling out win 10 to all models. It's very lethargy in waiting for Final version to seed. Still monthly security updates are out of question. Microsoft see you in 2017.

Its just start. 640, 540 and 435 etc (phones promised to get win 10) should be first in line followed by previous generation. Using Windows 10 preview on lumia 630 and its very good with few bugs. Waiting for 1020 update(maybe in 3 months.....)
