PhoneAddict, 26 Apr 2010WTF Nokia!!! This is 2010 not 2007!
The beginning of the end for Nokia. RIP.Was any N8 component actually availible in 2007? OMAP3? No. 12MP cam? No. 16GB eMMC? No. AMOLED? No.
2009 might even stretch it too far.
WTF Nokia!!! This is 2010 not 2007!
The beginning of the end for Nokia. RIP.
everybody is saying.
no no you dont need camera with 12 megapixel. its all about optics.
helooooooo iphone 4g with your 5 MP camera and tons of apps and games. hell yeah
Symbian is history and dead now.
Nokia need to wake up, fired the whole Symbian Group! This group is dead old minded which fail to produce revolution OS.
bye bye nokia and symbian
the only two units or UI are
Welcome Android 2.1 and 2.2 and Warm Welcome to iphone 4th gen
everything else R.I.P
It looks like Sony Ericsson Aino!?
Nokia does not have any idea how they are going to design, so the play safe and use SE design! sad Nokia! sad!
Ha ha ha. I really have to laugh. I think Nokia forgot this is 2010. Anyway, Nokia has been already FU**ED.
Top seed by Nokia. It's really cool. I am not much into its design, but I was not much into the design of the N86, but now I feel passion for it. So, I think I like the N8 when I see it real.
Thin lol means no space for cooling the cpu lol so the phone will heat up and lag or just catch on fire like the iphone has numerous times
It's just like a computer the cpu need air circulation so it will run smooth
And that's why nokia's design it's like phones like that it's not about form factor it's about user safety and performance
the symbian OS is desperately in need of a new face.
It's 5 years now since its original release, and we STILL HAVE TO PUT UP WID s60's Tantrums??!
Nokia seems to be conveniently unaware of the leaps and bounds its peers are taking.
iphone os and android are not new thinner oses. they are both unix-based. still that old code with just new UI engine. they are both just an installment over the large fat old oses.
andy burgin, 26 Apr 2010To get the review off mobile-review.com just go onto symbian freak an they have the Russian re... moreNOthing to do with investors, everything to do with management.
Success is the seed of failure
Moto's success on the RAZOR phones plant their seed of future failure
NOkia's Success of N95 (and all phones there after with the same core) is the seed of their failure.
SOny's success with K800 camera phone is another such seed of future failure.
Nokia fail to foresee raise of Apple App store business model / Open platform Android concept.
Symbian fan / User base Was as big as Windows in domination but then, unlike windows with business / education and user interface domination plus 3rd party software support.
Their domination can be stripped away slowly, and it is already too late when some of the management woke up to this.
Open source Symbian is one correct step, but no universal app store, no united platform sharing (NOkia apps on Satio and I8910), open source in name only, unable to learn other OS' advantages slow in releasing new user experiences.
The only advantage N8-00 has now is Xenon , 12 mpx camera, Free Nokia maps, and if it can't run the established ^1 software, then smartphone it is NOT and It is DOOM to fail!
To get the review off mobile-review.com just go onto symbian freak an they have the Russian review translated into English using Google translater,an things look bad at Nokia he warns them they better update there ideas as since the N95 boom nothing outstanding from Nokia,Why? Chinese investors i think downgrading Nokia, just get back the Finland Nokia an get things sorted out quickly
frenchbehaviour, 26 Apr 2010When I read all the comments, I ask this question. Do people know what is an os?
I used all t... moreThe symbian OS is dated and slow all because the code it carries.
THis is the same situation with WIndows OS,
I read from some article, the Symbian source code is as fat as windows XP! There are tons of rubbish / backward use codes in the thing, those are FAT that has to be cleared for it to compete with new thinner OS like Iphone and Android.
It was like writing Vista, they not only delayed it and they even torn down the first version and start up again half way.
When Vista was out, it was slow and buggy and took another two years to get to where it susposed to be in the first place: Win 7.
The same situation for symbian OS, they had a montain to climb to clean up the code, hence, skip over ^2 and now... claim only ^4 would be something ground breaking.
Sounds like ^4 is the Win 7 and ^ 3 is the bloody Vista, and ^1 now is XP with service pack a face lift.
noro, 26 Apr 2010if nokia would join android they will lead again...but intill then...god knows what will happe... moreWow, you almost achieved your results for champions, but nokia is on your way...huh bad luck for droid-fat-boys like you!!! lol.
Symbians is professionally designed to do the job for personal use, where the droids and apples is native pyramidal&testing with mismatch purpose software for gamin&gathering individual information purpose.
FrenchPress, 26 Apr 2010I think they meant to type... "single handed take down (by) Nokia..." My question is... morei got the Satio, with out hacking the bloody phone, it is as dumb as any close platform phone with java, zero point for it to have S60 as OS...
then even if you hacked it... it is slow and buggy...
After the S60th experience, i warn every one to steer clear of the OS unless it is from Nokia.
Get the X10 instead...
An truely Open platform has its adventages, iphone os show the way and unlike windows desktop scene, Open platforms will eventually dominate.
