lol, 14 Jan 20165 inch with 2000 mah battery. look like asus still didn't learn anyhtingJesus, seems like you don't know how batteries are based on phones really... Battery is based mostly based on PPI since this phone has 720p display, PPI number is small also Processor will not have heavy work on that phone, so processor shouldn't even have heat/overheat in day to day use. 2000 mah is just enough. Asus would have gone with bigger battery if display was 1080p really.
AnonD-104084, 15 Jan 2016Wake up dude not talking about Asus lol, just some company could do this
Android Hero, 14 Jan 2016plz sd820 + 4gb ram + 1080p super amoled screen + stock android based os and/or unlocked bootl... moreWake up dude
a phone with MTK6580 SOC is not even a mid range
At $211, yup, it is official that Xiaomi, Lenovo, or Huawei is giving Asus a difficult competition. I did not want to see Asus struggling yet
AnonD-460152, 14 Jan 2016Can you imagine the sluggishness? Can you imagine the battery flying away?Yes . This would take the user back to good-ol' GB and KitKat days...sluggishness everywhere in UI and battery % draining right in front of their eyes.
Raph4, 14 Jan 2016The $99 price tag seems feasible to me. Brazil's prices are always out of the curve, wait for ... moreYeah I feel sorry for Brazil, every smartphone over there is significantly expensive when compared to rest of the world.
I hope this phone does not launch globally , not even for $99. Anyone who can pay $100 can pay $3 more and buy the Redmi 3 or Lemon 3. This is the kind of phone I would expect from Samsung , a well established company who can take more than a few 'failure-models' not Asus , which is yet to crack even top 5. Their Zenfone series is excellent value for money though . This is a joke next to those models.
Design is better than in shity Iphone.
Here in Brazil, we can buy a J5 for this price...
Lousy screen resolution & lousy battery capacity in this day & age. What a bummer
Good design, I think this looks better than previous Asus phone.
Pro tips: Put a circular hardware home button and it will be complete :-P
AnonD-79180, 14 Jan 2016True . I would peg the price of this phone around $99 and this is me being optimistic. Can you imagine the sluggishness? Can you imagine the battery flying away?
Oh I thought Asus won't follow footsteps of some else marketing strategies from HTC and sometimes LG too, even my poop is much more expensive than the specs of this phone but....who knew :D
All The Best Asus.Happy drowning :D
5" screen powered by 2000mah battery? hw many times u recharge it in a day?
Stop the crap Asus. Give us Asus ROG phone. Hah
5 inch with 2000 mah battery. look like asus still didn't learn anyhting

Sorry Asus but this phone is stupid. They should have gone with Qualcom 410 or mediatek Mt6735 which are better and have LTE support.
I found it in Thai online store too, sold at THB3,990 (at around $109 at today currency rate)
