I would be surprised by this move. SAMOLED screens are known for their burn-in, poor color reproduction, and general yellow/green hue. I don't see what is so good about them.

The beauty of amoled is only that part of the screen gets on where there are colors or whites. All the black backgrounds are not activated. This makes the phone more beatiful

Another example is two companies last year were selected as the suplier (work horse) of A9 chip... TSMC and Samsung.... Same design supplied by Apple yet only TSMC did the job properly as Samsung chips ended up having worse performance hence Apple reduced orders with Samsung and increased with TSMC..... Samsung is a "chip" work horse! end of story!

AMOLEDS are simply not good enough for profesional use just yet because colour reproduction (especially white) is totally unacurate! It's fine in the toy like Galaxy S6 etc but many photographers use (for example) an iPhone as colour reference or control screen for their cameras (as an example)......

Since the Galaxy S4 that you don't find lack of performance in the Exynos variants. And that talk of cpu's and ghz it hasn't nothing to do with the topic debated.

There's so much Samsung in iPhones that Apple should just sell rebadged Galaxy phones with iOS theme. The best of both worlds since it looks like iOS but without the limitations.

Let them die for god's sake. Apple is constantly suying Samsung despite their business relationship. Samsung can afford to cut Apple completely. Cook said some time ago that AMOLED is not a good screen technology, remember that ?

Apple will only adapt OLED when the technology matures and that's 2018. Current OLED have problem outdoors and display pure white which make it unsuitable for professional work.
