This is a superb release.
I believe this could be the big brother of N82, which was the best Nokia phone ever. With N8, they have upgraded image and video resolutions to cater today's HD demand. And with Xenon flash, people would really think to buy a Digital camera when they have seen this phone. Finally, we expect good speed of applications, video playback and finally moderate cost after launch.
Nokia rocks!
welcome back nokia, 27 Apr 2010goodbye iphoneLoooL good one dude, totally true :D
Too fat. I want a thin phone.
goodbye iphone
Anonymous, 27 Apr 2010I get your point man, sure they can fix, but what if they don´t? Just look at the N97.It's early to judge dude, we must wait and then see for ourselves whether this phone is worth the hype or not. But so far I think we should admit that the specs are just stunning totally stunning!!
And you know what scares me most??? Is that it's a nokia!! So only god knows how good the sales of this handset will be. Because Nokia's name and reputation is the strongest worldwide.
Even when nokia sucked big time, their sales were the strongest so just imagine now what will happen after such an ultimate handset?? Do you see my point bro? Samsung were reaching nokia very fast, but after this seriously samsung should watch their backs now!
Releasing thei flagship handset with no flash was a disaster! And now look what nokia has. Well I guess that's the reason Nokia has been the king of sales and market share ever since they existed.
Cheers!
a very good phone!!
but please, leave samsung alone.when samsung had 8mpx cams nokia was sleeping. and 12mpx AND Xenon! in my opinion, i think this is a veery good phone, but samsung has done all this a year ago.
SE 2010, 27 Apr 2010Come on dude symbian was never laggy, your being unreasonable now :) And regarding the video ... moreI get your point man, sure they can fix, but what if they don´t? Just look at the N97.
Read here, this is the way Nokia handles a lost prototype, not by bashing down doors of innocent reporters but admitting mistakes in their own security failures and fixing them. Shame on Apple

"Unfortunately, an early prototype made its way to someone that wasn’t supposed to have it, and his early first impressions of the device and its software spread like wildfire. Buried deep down in the blogger’s salacious headlines about the software not being ready, was the most important point. This is a very early, pre-production prototype with dated software that is not yet ready. So the site’s comments that the software ‘felt premature’ is probably one of the more blindingly obvious things you will read this year."

See what I mean
Way to go Nokia...... great price, sexy looking n8....... love u nokia
The OS had not yet completely been polished. You can see in the Promo videos that the pinch zooming and home screen transitions do not work properly. If you take a look at the S^3 demonstration about a month ago on a laptop, these all worked well. Therefore, you can be sure that on the final product everything will be smooth, fast and, for people who care more about the beauty of the UI rather than its powers and features, with lots of eye candy.
I'm a total Android junkie, but I like that this is distinctly Nokia. No cribbing other peoples' designs, it looks like an N series propper. The future of Nokia is here, I think android will rule touch smartfones, but Nokia will do just fine too.
Finally for almost few years Nokia come out something that could that could compete with other competitor~ Phew for Nokia...

I'm not a fan of Nokia, but I'd totally buy this. It has got everything I need in a decent size. I just don't buy that 370€ price tag... But I sure hope It comes out with it :P
SE 2010, 27 Apr 2010Ok leave us from HTC now, I'm talking about NOKIA VS samsung
And the results are :
