The only thing that now gives Redmi 3 an edge is 4100 maH battery. Otherwise this phone is superior in every aspect. 3GB RAM, 16gb + sdcard is really commendable.
Reason being..
I have Redmi 1s and have experience of "How it feels to use best and most mature UI by an OEM's i.e. MIUI on a 1GB Ram device." It doesn't matter how good UI is until you have enough Ram to open atleast 6-7 apps. Redmi is really a pain while using because it reloads app occasionally on switching from one to another. My dad's 1GB RAM Moto E switches app better than this Chinese MIUI crap.
** I can use fb messenger upto 15 min., after that my phone heats up & goes off.**
I am not targeting any brand here, it's just that please pay attention to RAM before buying phone. Because low RAM phone will give nothing but headache and defy the very aspect of smartphone(multitasking).

3gb ram is fantastic for the price even xiaomi can't give that amount of ram for the price

What is the use of giving 3gb ram after under clocking the processor. Ram alone doesn't help the performance. At least they should have used the same 1.3ghz 6735 instead of this 1 ghz processor.

I am using Coolpad Note 3 and its a superb mobile.
No complaints except one that is it does not have NFC.
Rest it is the best mobile compared to list of expensive mobile as per specs and cost.
Good combination of Software and Hardware.
Instead of lite edition, it could have plus edition with NFC chip in it with Marshmallow out of the box.
