They're launching in February which means they will take the entire market.

I really don't care for MicroSD cards in high-end phones. They are much slower and more liable to failure.

However, if there is no MicroSD slot, there MUST be at least 32GB of storage. Therefore I normally ignore the existence of phones with 16GB internal memory and no card slot. 64GB is the sweet spot nowadays.

Chinese manufacturers price the memory upgrades sensibly i.e. 1000 Yuan/ $15 per 16GB.

So going from 16GB to 64GB costs you $45, which though around 3 times the per-GB cost of MicroSD, but still better than the atrocious $100 that Apple charges and no one complains about.

          Really?
Yeah, you are correct, we can use the OTG feature. But having expandable SD Card is a PLUS point many people want, anyway. Hope it comes with the 128GB internal storage variant if there will be no SD Card expansion.
Regarding build quality, I have no doubt either. Xiaomi never compromises about that. Even the midrangers like Mi4i / Redmi Note 3, or even the cheapest Redmi 3, all of them are very good in buiid quality departement.

From the render, it looks wonderful.
I guess, the left and right sides are curved but the top and bottom sides are flat, just like in the iconic Mi 3. The difference is it makes of metal, at least the sides, just like in Mi 4.
              Again, it looks wonderful.
Hopefully it comes with expandable memory card as many expected no, with affordable price.
