Go with the "Eaten" Apple that is only Hardware and Android that is Open-Based. I have one of those but they are just for what? for fancy? If you have Apple. would people praise you? If you have Android? would they do the same too? How about when you have a Microsoft? What would they say? A crappy phone? Well they got wrong. Those who don't like Windows are just an example of newbie people.

All these years I owned only Nokia/Microsoft mobiles. All my friends and family people shifted to apple and android based phones. Now I am also shifting from Windows OS as they promise and keep on promise update to windows 10. Hell with them ... when other OS works smoothly and user friendly and more promising devises are now available. Shame on you MS and wonder how you will survive if this is the way you keep going ...

Don't worry Microsoft. I have a Lumia 530 and if I don't receive the Windows 10 update, I will directly upgrade myself from Windows Phone to Android.

ethereal, 17 Jan 2016What? Its not an android update but windows which means a same build for all the capable devic... moreYeah but every windows devices have different capabilities. For example there is differences between SD 210 and SD800 the speed, the power and etc. the W10M update really need refinement for each devices to run smoothly. it can't be same for all the devices. some phones have rich capture, some are not and etc. 1520 I know it's capable to handle W10M but u must remember that it is an older device made by Nokia. For instance, Samsung they release software update to the latest devices first before goes to older. Do u have seen samsung note 3 get the lollipop first before the Note 4? Of course not. This might one of their market strategy. So if people wants updates faster, just buy latest phones from them. You'll never miss the updates then. FYI I have 1520 and 520. both still using WP8.1. And I'm patiently wait the update to come because I know I will get it at last and I have no money to upgrade my phone to the latest devices. And I know my 1520 is very capable to run W10M smoothly and will be same on par with the latest devices.

L525 will receive the W10M update. If your phone is a carrier locked version then the update is in the hands of the mobile carrier.
Once the phone gets updated to W10M it will receive updates directly from Microsoft.
PS.
Lumia 520 will also get the update. It is the 512mb RAM variant of L525.
